I agree with everyone here about a bigman. In order of importance;

1.)Athletic-Has to be able to climb the ladder for the lob,(Think Powell)period. Ground bound, need not apply. Average athletes have to be elite shooters for the pick and pop, and passers while still being able to catch a basic lob(Think Sabonis) Running the pick and roll/pop efficiently is the key to unlocking Cades true potential.

2.)Rebounder. Lob catcher has to rebound the damn ball.

3.)Shot blocker.

Ideally the big that starts for the team in the future can do all of the above at least in an average fashion.

One can only hope. I used to think our young core was Cade, bey, Stewart and Hayes. Stewart is too small. Bey cant hit a shot and Hayes is allergic to being aggressive.

Bey has been bad even when he is hitting his shots. Stewart has always been a 15 mpg energy guy off the bench, nothing more than that. Weaver is (Please Use More Appropriate Word), that's the only reason he has been starting.

Our core is Cade and Grant. Olynyk is decent but he is way too old.

Frank Jackson is a nice scorer off the bench, but nothing more than that.

Other than those 4 guys, and maybe Diallo (but I don't really like him) noboby in our roster should be in the NBA.

He went up and got blocked, tried again, went up stronger with a dunk attempt, went up again with some more finesse but couldn't hit, then by the time overtime happened he was doing moves to pull Gafford out of the lane, weaving around him, etc. It took a bit, and Cade definitely had some struggles early in the game, but by the end he really "solved" that rim protection. It was neat to see his offensive game upgrade before our eyes.

Bummer to lose this one. I can tell the guys really wanted it and I really wanted it too, but it was a fun watch and it's nice to feel them competing.

Of our available players, I think that overtime lineup might be our strongest right now. Even if they don't start games, I think that Stewart, Grant, Diallo, Frank, Cade grouping should be finishing games. As much as I like Killian and how he and Cade play together, I don't mind Killian coming off the bench for a bit, especially if it means we don't have to see much Cojo. I thought Bey looked better and more decisive early, but Diallo is outplaying him right now and is young too. So I don't mind if Bey has to come off the bench for Diallo. Once Kelly comes back, there's an argument to be made for moving Beef Stew to the bench as well. But right now, Garza's just not ready, and Lyles minutes are not good minutes for the team, so Stewart's our best option.

Really hoping we end up with a top two pick and get a high impact big man this off-season and can use Stewart as an energy big off the bench.

I agree 100% im all in on Diallo getting Beys mins. Diallos only short coming is he isn't a shooter... well atm Bey isn't either .. everything else currently Diallo is doing better than Bey including Def. ... oh and I just seen your name I'm born, raised and currently living in Kalamazoo.. You still here? nice seeing someone on the forums on this side of the state.. most people on the other half lol

The ideal role for Diallo is lead guard off the bench with Frank Jackson in place of Joseph. He needs to have the ball in his hands because he puts the most pressure on defenses on the whole team.

As bad as Bey has been, he just needs to go back to either making or missing shots. I'll take missed good shots over Dream Shake turnovers.

Ah, no, the name is a holdover from my college days at Western. I'm down in Alabama now, following the team on League Pass. It hadn't seemed worth the investment in recent years, but the Cade pick got me excited again.
