Bad fit. Both will be fighting for point-forward supremacy.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
I may have been joking. Having two front court players with passing ability and unicorn potential would be fun.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
Maybe this is a homer take, but Ivey and Smith are still my two favourite players in the draft.
I think that Smith is going to be the type of player that people wished JJJ was going to turn into. He's smaller than JJJ, and doesn't block as many shots, but he's much better offensively and at 6'10 he has a nice handle and face up game to him. Defensively he has a lot of upside, and he has an NBA ready body. I think he's going to be a player.
Ivey is an explosive 2-Guard with a solid wingspan and play making skills. He rebounds well, makes nice passes, and can get to the rim and dunk over people when they least expect it. He's got that Westbrook / Morant type of athleticism from the guard spot, which will no doubt translate to the NBA.
Banchero's game reminds me of the Detroit version of Blake Griffin. I see Chet as more of a SF/PF as opposed to a PF/C like many have him pegged as. They don't interest me as much as those first two guys.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
Look, at this point, the Raps need an injection of youth (pause)...specifically from the lottery. The players from the late first round, second round and undrafted pool is nice...but the likelihood of those players turning into elite ballers is very very low.

You keep bringing up data but we do have data. In fact, it's right there in front of us. We know that only 60 people have actually voted and we know that the same posters post in this thread. We also know how people feel about this thread while reading other threads. It certainly doesn't have a great reputation.

He's not incorrect.
About 70 people have voted in this thread, which is a relatively small sample size compared to other threads.
Look at this for example:
viewtopic.php?f=32&p=93424832
Barnes vs. Suggs thread from August had over 230 votes.
So 70 compared to 230 is a pretty damn big sample size difference, wouldn't you agree? And as rightly pointed out, most people that do post here are inherently pro-tank as this is the tank thread.
You guys are more than welcome to make another thread about it with a poll. But at the moment this is the data we have, maybe its 50/50 or 40/60 who knows. But your boy said 99% are against it and was attacking another poster singling him out, which is just garbage he's making up.

I like Edey too
I said earlier how Purdue is the best team in the country, it will stay that way. Ivey gets the nba attention, Edey is the most dominate player

Well I didn't read the full debate you guys are having but it's obviously not 99%. I have no idea what the actual number is. So if that's what he said, you are both incorrect here and screaming at the clouds.
All I'm saying is you can't take anything from a 70 person sample size when we have hundreds of more posters on this board. If we wanted to know for sure we need a true sample size, not 70. Didn't we have a roll call that shows this Board has over like 600 posters?
And most of the people commenting or go to this thread are pro-tankers.

Yeah, Smith is going to be special without a doubt in my mind. If we somehow we win the lottery against all odds and get a top 3 pick, Smith is my guy. No doubt.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
You're missing a choice.
Winning at all costs means running Fred at 40 minutes a game. no, I don't want that.
I want the team to win without burning out, or risking injury to players. If they can't win, with normal minute distribution, then the losses will not bother me, but I cheer for wins, not losses.

Everyone looks at bennett but I feel like for the most part Canadian players don't bust. Most 1st round picks bust. The history of Canadians being taken in the 1st round isn't that bad. Candians being taken in the 2nd round? considering 90% bust? Great history.
lets just go back to Nash
Nash - 2 time MVP
Todd MacCulloch 2nd round pick? Not a bust. Only 4 seasons but he played in the NBA. Most 2nd rounders don't.
Maglorie- all-star
Dalembert- for a late 1st? solid pick. Nice career.
Tristan- solid starter for his whole career, nba champ.
Cory Jospeh- for the 29th pick he had a great career
Nicholson- kind of a bust but did play in the league for a little bit. Wasn't Bennett level bad
Bennett- bust
Olynyk- not a bust. Solid career imo
Wiggins- Wiggins is an All-star this year maybe playing w a guy going for MVP. Not a bust. expectations were just really high
Stauskas- bust
Powell- 2nd round pick? solid career for a 2nd round pick
Lyles- not great but not a bust.
Murray- homerun
brooks- 2nd round steal. grand slam for a 2nd rounder
Shai- Grandslam
RJ- not bad, not bust. The knicks actually win now...
Naw- love his game. def not a bust
Clarke- Another great late 1st round pick
Kabengele- still a ? we will see
Primo- playing nice so far
Banton- good 2nd round pick
only 4 busts out of all those players. That's a great % considering most bust

I know you’re pretty high on Mathurin. What do you think he can become at his ceiling?
I think he’s got all star potential. Great body and athletic. Already a solid shooter
I’m starting to like him over Hardy
