What would make you say that? There are several active people on the board who didn't think there was any reason to keep Mathews, who didn't think that he'd shown his value with us, who don't think he's done anything "special," & who see no reason to regret the move one bit.
It's still what they think -- or so I assume -- since none of them is checking in here to say "I guess I was wrong about Garrison Mathews."
Of course, we're all wrong sometimes -- goes without saying. E.g. I was wrong about Tyler Bey, Nate Hinton, & sizable list of others -- not to mention all those still to come about whom I'm sure to be wrong as well! You can count on it. Plus the ones I'm forgetting.... Oh yeah, Mason Jones!
(I'm still high on Nathan Knight however! Just you wait... you'll see!)Still... maybe some of those who couldn't see why to think well of & keep Garrison Mathews will decide to admit they were incorrect.
Maybe even including those who thought Chandler Hutchison had a chance (ooops... I was in that group!) or that Jerome Robinson did (I wasn't one of those at least...) while they were sure they saw the fatal flaws in Mathews.
Anyone think that's likely?
