We're home, slightly undermanned, up against a team that is in the very circumstance we were just in - a SEGABABA after travel. How much having fewer bodies versus less rest evens out remains to be seen, but we have to channel our best versus a talented, depleted team with its back to the wall. We must bring energy and vigilance for a strong start, focus and fundamentals for withstanding runs and maintaining solid two-way play, and resoluteness for a positive finish.

Great start. Movement on D, good timing on doubling, forcing passes rotating well, getting deflections, and very good, assertive movement and variety of shots on O.

Jakob doing great work on man D and on O boards. Nice to be the team getting the second chance points.

3s falling, too. Awesome.

Right so not great decisions on O these last few possessions made for at least three four-point swings: DJ to the baseline stuck versus two defenders and chooses to attempt a shot and misses a contested one, Derrick with a couple of 3s misses from the top of the arc and then left corner, the latter from an O board.

I like the assertiveness, but we're not making smart decisions - more movement.

They're getting baskets quickly on the other end so getting back on D faster is a focus for us now.

After we build a ten-point lead, they cut it and it was a back and forth in exchanging baskets. They cut our lead with quick baskets and our misses from not good O choice of shots.

I like our pace, and efficiency, O rebounding, 3s, and getting to the FT line.

We have to make sure we get back on D faster, and prevent their passes inside. Keep pushing the pace on a SEGABABA team to wear them down.

Drew's actually taking a lot of hits and staying balanced, keeping strong hands on the ball, and showing nice touch around the rim. Oh and staying even tempered through it all. Good to see him contributing on both ends. Good match up for his athletic, bruising game.

Yeah looks like we have to build more than an eighteen-point lead when Jokic is out. He comes back in and we get stupid. Credit to him where it's due when he makes a great play when we force secondary options, but like how are we even allowing him to get open at the arc after he passes the ball? It's not like he is moving fast or is hard to spot. They're getting open shots, and getting secondary chances more now, too.

Protect the arc. Protect the rim!

IDK if you have been watching the Spurs feed or not the last couple games but having Fabricio Oberto sitting in for Sean Elliot has been great. I always loved that guy!

Yeah they brought Fab in after starting him in Austin or on the radio, don't recall. He's super nice but has always kind of creeped me out in that he looks like a Bond villain. Totally on me lol but he provides good basketball commentary and has a nice demeanour and pace to contributions. Isn't afraid of silence, doesn't over talk.

Loved that Beadle hasn't come in with her frantic high-school cheerleader energy to talk about everything BUT the game while the game is going on. Not sure whose idea it was for these segments, but man what a distraction. Like Fab from what I've heard.

Well there goes our-eighteen point lead. Seriously they went on a 10-2 run or thereabouts in just over a minute. They may be tired but because they know their sets very well, they're picking their spots of exerting energy to run their sets and we're getting absolutely picked apart.

Again - WHY ARE WE ALLOWING JOKIC TO GET OPEN AFTER HE PASSES? WHY?! WHY????????!

They're allowing us to shoot ourselves out of our rhythm and counter-punching with very quick points the other way. They're outpacing us with 52-46FGAs, so it looks like the strategy is also to just push the volume to make up for inefficiency. We have to rotate better and to the right players because they're getting too many open 3 attempts and we can't allow them to get into rhythm.

We're doing a very good job getting to the FT line and making them for 12-14, but these tend to even out in halves. We MUST stay assertive and hungry and poised and diligent. We MUST run back on D.

We have given up 9 points on our TOs and have earned only 2, and are still leading in the boards 28-15, including 7-3 on O, but timing is everything and they made a big push later in the Q with their starters out for rest for a longer than usual while.

We've scored two 37-point Qs which is fantastic, but our D gave up 36 points in the 2ND Q so our D has some awareness and effort and communication work to do. I did like the 5-point run to end the Q by us.

During these stretches, it's good that we build up leads, but we MUST stay relentless and give no quarter. So, no settling for one-and -done stat and point padding attempts, keep moving on O, run back harder on D, and protect the ball. Strong team-oriented, two-way push in the second half! Finish strong.

I really wish we could get the right guys matched up inside to front their PFs in our key. They're backing us down and getting passes inside for 2s and fouls. **** figure the rotations out, man.
