Ugly game. Kuzma, no question. Ice in his veins.

And I’m dedicating this choice to Nat.

In the 4th quarter and OT, Kuzma had 18 points, 3 boards and 2 assists. The team as a whole only scored 30. Kuzma is POTG.

Gafford also had a very good game, playing the last 13 minutes with no rest and locking down the paint. He wasn't so great at guarding Cunningham on switches, but he was just about perfect everywhere else.

Avdija was very good in the 1st half, but somewhat invisible in the 2nd. He did make really good plays in help D.

Twenty-six games, essentially one-third of the regular season played, and Bradley Beal has only been POTG in two of 15 wins.

That's mind-boggling.

Our “super max” star playing quite disappointing overall, with horrendous career low 3 pt shooting percentages and career high TOs (especially in the clutch).

Any competent franchise will try to shop him hard before the trade deadline…but Terd is gonna Terd unfortunately..

Kuz wasn't like this but close enough for the Wiz.

Kuzma has the confidence to take and make the big shots in the 4th. Meanwhile our supermax player loses his mind late in games. I saw this somewhere else where someone compared Beal to Kirk Cousins, and it really does feel like a similar situation.

To be fair, one of the reasons for this in the past was that Beal was always very consistent. He always showed up and played pretty well; but, by himself, he wasn't enough win games. But when another player contributed with a random big game, it was enough to deliver a win, with that other player get the lion's share of credit.

To put it succinctly, Beal was the Wizards POTG in nearly all of our losing efforts, but we only vote after wins.

(That's not necessarily the case this year, where Beal has been pretty consistently inefficient.)
