Do the Nuggets miss Murray more than the Sixers miss Simmons?

Post#1 » by Hussien Fatal » Fri Dec 10, 2021 12:54 pm

Sixers just 2 games above .500 w/o their 2nd best player, and the Nuggets are 1 game below .500

I think both teams are guaranteed a 50+ win season if both players were playing. But without each teams 2nd best player they are fighting for a playoff spot.

Simple question which team misses which player more?

Well Nuggets are having worse injury problems than Sixers. Context matters.

Murray, Porter, Dozier are out for the year. That's two key starters and one key bench player totally gone.

This is way bigger than just Nuggets missing Murray more than Sixers missing Simmons. You're making it way too simple.

Just an observation. Carry on :usa:

76ers have more talent overall so they'll miss simmons less.

Nuggets are missing way more than just Murray, MPJ and PJ are gone too, Rivers is in quarantine, Bones just come out and recovering. They already had to use hardship exception to sign a player from G League. Jokic playing on most nights on MVP level is what's keeping the team still relevant.

Sixers have missed Embiid for around 8-9 already too (Harris too for some games due to Covid)

Pretty obvious that Denver misses Murray more. The Sixers are 11-5 when Embiid plays which is a higher win rate than they had last year with Simmons.

In a quarter of season where Embiid missed 38% of games, Harris 35%, Green and Thybulle 27%... you are trying to make correlation between their record and missing Simmons.
For Nuggets MPJ missed 64% of games, Dozier 28%, Jokic 20%...
I don't know math needed to analyze this
