I like Jrue as a Buck. Don't like to see him playing against the Bucks.

Hypothetical I presented to my boss today.

Game on the line. Bucks down 1. Last possession. Do you prefer:

Giannis needing to hit two free throws or DiVincenzo needing to score a fastbreak layup?

Giannis taking the free throws because I trust him to atleast tie it up

If there's someone at the rim, Giannis. I'll take two chances over Donte in traffic.

It would be insane to trade Jrue even if it results in a potentially small upgrade. Unless you could get in on a guy like Dame, then obviously that could be a big deal. But someone like Simmons/Wall/Hali/Turner/Kyrie? No way.

No? It's ok to recognize a player's limitations while still thinking they bring tremendous on court value. It's like saying you're down 3 with the last shot and you'd rather have Middleton taking the shot instead of Giannis and it being some slight on Giannis.

goddammit Bucks, you signed the wrong Mathews.

Skones and I were also really pushing for the Bucks to sign him. GarMat and the Rockets have been amazing since they started starting him. And it couldn't happen to a better guy. Damn, I'm happy for him.

It just really sucks because he's the exact guard that fits in well here, a shooter than can put it on the floor and make a play. He's also a much improved defender. But yeah, it seems like he landed in the perfect situation and he's playing himself into a nice contract.

Sure, guys can "fall off a cliff" at any time in their careers, but being constantly paranoid that they will leads to just as many dumb far-sighted roster moves as the opposite line of thinking (complacency). Anthony Davis is arguably already declining at 27 years old. Jrue and Khris are 31 and 30 respectively. I have no idea if they decline in the next 2-3 years, but it's not really a gamble I'm willing to take and I think for clarity sake, smart GM's have stopped looking at player "assets" over the age of 30 as ticking time bombs.

I don't disagree with you point, but with the exception of Conley, those are all HOFers. I think they are on a different level...ok maybe not Lowry as much. Jrue is a 1-time all-star making the max, not a guy who was constantly in the MVP race.

I think sticking with Jrue makes the most sense but you can't say it isn't risk to keeping a guy putting your luxury hell who turns 32 this summer.

Why was Tim Thomas referred to as "T-Squared" instead of the more correct and more bad-ass "T2?"

Awesome question.

Maybe because the only thing he terminated was our cap space ;)

These playoffs will be huge for deciding on what to do with Jrue in the near future. I doubt anything happens that will end up with him getting traded this upcoming offseason, but he’s the odd man out when you look at upgrading the core if the team hits a wall in the next postseason or two.

2 Ts with a multiplying factor of 2 headbands = 4 = Squared

I digress. I called him Touchdown Tommy for some reason after Tommy Vardell. :dontknow:

For the sake of Jersey clarity, in 1975 the nba passed a rule removing parentheses from players’ legal names in all league matters and correspondence.

Todays Lowe Post pod they float Lopez+DDV+a couple of seconds for Turner and they think the Pacers can find a better trade

They damn near traded him for Hayward, didn't they?

Yea I don't see how that would get it done. Probably would have to find a first down the line to give them. DDV can't be terribly enticing either considering pending contract situation. Turner makes sense for us but I don't think we have anything they'd want other than picks (which likely aren't going to be great picks). Maybe there's a 3 team trade out there somehow though.

I think it's the perfect Pacers trade. They have a type, and it's guys with medical flags.

I think it's kind of a given that they can find a better trade. We haven't even seen Donte in what feels like a year and have no idea when/if Brook will play at a decent level again.
