Reading a little more, it sounds like they do have some advantages in some cases, being easier or lower-cost to produce. But like you said, looks like this one compares poorly versus what we have against CV19.
I want to point out that the details of peoples' belief systems come in all combinations, even "health nuts." So you might have someone who insists on organic, but doesn't care a fig about GMO issues.To me, they would seem to be every organic/non-GMO health nut's worst nightmare, because genetically modified plants are what are used to produce the vaccine.
Actually, the only reasons I know of to be concerned with GMO's is that heirloom plants can potentially be hugely beneficial to maintain for future eventuality (like, current crops wiped out by a specific pest or pathogen), and that various habitats might get really borked if GMO-strains were to edge out heirloom-types. But-- nothing at all to do with the human body being somehow affected by consuming GMO's.
