Herb Simon and Lasry have directly come to an understanding on trades in the recent past with Brogdon:

“I really believe when Herb talked to the owner of Milwaukee (Marc Lasry, co-owner of the Bucks) and they had a very open and honest discussion, both of them said ‘Let’s make this deal,’” Pritchard explained on Monday. “At the time, it went from 10 percent to 90 percent on that call.

“That’s something that I had never seen before in my life, but you can see how Herb has been so successful. He wants win-win deals. He was all about how to make this a win-win deal, something that Milwaukee can come away feeling good about, when they looked to their future, with the 1st round pick and two second (round selections).”

Could also see the Pacers liking Donte if he proves to be healthy.

Lopez they'd have the benefit of being able to tank this year but then have a passable center next season if they're itching to get back to the playoffs asap.

If this kind of deal were to happen I suspect it would be significantly due to these kind of considerations rather than our trade package objectively offering them the most value (especially if there were to bite the bullet on a multi-year rebuild).

I'm curious to see what Turners value ends up being. People speak on him as though he's a bit overrated and not a legit star player, but then there's another contingent of people that think he's pretty good, leads the league in blocked shots, can shoot the 3 and trade packages should reflect that.

Maybe Lasry can sweet talk Pritchard again. Throw in Nwora and see if they go for it. He might have shown just enough of being a flashy scorer, that they look past the rest of his game.

Variable we don’t know is to what extent the Bucks are actually / realistically optimistic that Lopez will be healthy come playoff time.

If he’s coming back at 100% the Bucks might not want to shake things up with a Turner trade.

BroLo and Donte are both proven commodities in our system.

Probably could put in the UW bball thread. But, they won the conference literally last year and had the national player of the year. And of course it was in the year of no fans so couldn't really enjoy it. That said, yes, the last 10 years have been rough and it's nuts they haven't been able to be a consistent contender.

I'd do the proposed Lopez and Donte for Turner deal.

I can't imagine why any Bucks fan would be against Lopez and Donte for Turner. That would make me barf as an Indy fan.

Turner isn't enough of an upgrade to justify what it would take to acquire him (if we even have assets that IND wants). Also, do people just assume that because he's younger, that he's some super switchable dude that won't get played off the floor vs. say, the Nets in a postseason series? Because I have some unfortunate news for you....

If the Bucks had a first in the next 3 years to trade, even if was heavily protected, I could see a deal. They don’t so I think we need to think more in terms of tinkering rather than large deals.

I’d personally like to see another big man with upside that maybe needs a change of scenery. Bamba remains my #1 guy, but I wouldn’t mind a guy like Bol either. Won’t cost much.

I think I may have something

Bucks trade
Brook Lopez
Donte DiVincenzo
Jordan Nwora
2nd round picks in ‘22 and ‘23

Orlando trades
Mohamed Bamba
Terrence Ross
Michael Carter Williams

Orlando clears up a logjam at center (assuming Brook gets bought out) and gets a look at DiVincenzo who has a more manageable QO than Bamba’s 10 mil in the offseason. Also get a look at Nwora and see if he can get some scoring punch with consistent minutes and looks. This trade also saves them almost 3.5 mil off their cap this season.

Bucks get a mobile young big to play spot minutes this year and possibly groom as a future starter with Bobby’s future up in the air. Ross can also give them the offense off the bench they were hoping to get from Hood and Giannis’ buddy MCW can be a defensive chess piece they can use situationally. Waive Hood and Semi.

Portis/Bamba/Cousins/Mamu
Giannis/Thanasis
Middleton/Connaughton
Allen/Ross/Matthews
Holiday/Hill/MCW/Smart

I have a strong feeling Bamba is going to go right back to being a dud when he gets paid and a large chunk of the league shares the same belief.

Fox has consistently regressed as a 3 point shooter, and he's all the way down to 26% this year.

The Kings won't include Fox for Simmons, but say yes for a couple injured guys? Not gonna happen.

Excellent, if he's as bad as you say maybe he's available.

He's at $28 million at the start of a growing 5 year contract.
