I still think the five asset (2 picks, Milton, Kork and Springer) plus Harris and Ben has legs for Turner + Ingram deal.

If the money works there can be rerouting done to a third team for an avenue of picks. If the Pels cut ties and Zion has real issues going on (could be the case in the end) you might as well load up on as many picks as you can get from one or more parties.

Imagine getting an unprotected first from the Wolves and Pacers plus keeping your own and a decent player that’s a fair haul for Ingram imo. Rumors of him not happy at the club last season. But I wouldn’t blame any good player it’s not exactly a great environment to play ball in.
Wolves want Simmons make them work for it, and the Pacers need to tank anyway.

Not perfect but at least we loaded up as best we can for an actually legit go at it which is all that we want instead of pussyfooting around.

I am hearing Raptors will send Siakam/Flynn for Simmons and shake, right now that is a good deal given Simmons's stock is down. Deal could happen in next week or so

Siakam for Simmons happening soon, Siakam having a good season but Raptors are losing because he and Barnes are not a good fit. Simmons would play next Fred and Trent come off the bench. Works good for both teams and allows Philly to either keep Harris or make another trade

I feel like it’s gotta be SGA given the timing of all this. SGA can be trade Dec 15 given his new extension and there have been some whispers circulating that the Sixers are interested. They could potentially be the 3rd team that Minny has been looking for to complete a deal or maybe the deal ends up being structured differently.

No idea why OKC would want even more picks and project players tho.

Simmons would go to Minnesota.

Remember, there were talks about trading Shai for #1 draft pick this summer. Shai is clearly not a #1 option on a championship team, not a generational talent. Not a potential MVP candidate.

Presti knows that if you want to win title you have a have that type of talent on your roster. As of now, OKC have yet to found out one (need more luck in the lottery). Having as many picks as possible increases the chances of finally get top 3 pick and grafting a superstar.
And they have more time to develop Maxey then we do.

We, on the other hand already have an MVP candidate and a superstar in Embiid. And Shai feet perfectly as a 2nd option.

Question is, would we trade Maxey and Simmons for Shai? I know Kobble and Stormi would. I guess I would do that trade also.

Id probably do that trade at this point. SGA is an awesome #2 and his slashing/PnR game next to Embiid and a bunch of shooters would be really effective. My guess is that Morey would be able to net a couple of the less attractive picks from the OKC war chest too.

I guess I could see Simmons, Maxey, and a couple firsts somehow being able to net Shai. I think we would need to really get some first for Ben to reroute to OKC. Unless the premise is OKC wants Ben.

Yes, you can book this trade happening. It could also turn into a 3 team deal with Pacers sending TURNER/LAMB to Raptors, Siakam to Philly and Simmons to the Pacers. Raptors also like Turner because their biggest problem is protecting the rim
