These teams could be interested in Wolves picks. While I would add Maxey in a deal for Shai, I don’t think I would want to add Maxey in a deal for Ingram.

But Shai and Ingram are my top 2 choices.

The Wolves make a ton of sense they need defense. However their only attractive piece is ant which probably wouldn't be coming back in any deal

Picks, swaps to a third team (Pelicans / Thunder). I think the Wolves see Towns, Russell, Edwards as keepers. Add Simmons and they really can be a playoff team.
Without Simmons, not so much. If they miss playoffs, there is a possibility of Towns asking out and that means another rebuild.

Agree that Ben happened to show for the Minny game for a reason. But Klutch is also publicly flirting with Popovich now as well. So I would just read it as assurances Ben will show up and play if someone will please save him from the meanies in Philly.

I would relish Minny straight caving after all that posturing, but wouldn’t bet on it.

Neither would I. It really seems that as much as the Wolves might want Simmons, it will be Edwards' team at some point. They want their cake and eat it, and hope to do it with a lot of draft capital and filler.

Maxey (21 y.o.)
2/3 picks and 2/3 swaps from Minnesota (from a team that has been in the playoffs once in the last 17 years and currently 22nd worst record out of 30 teams)

It can be a good value.

Maxey stats 16.5 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 4.7 APG with TS .557 (on a playoff team)
Shai stats 21.9 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 5.1 APG with TS .525 (on a 4th worst team in the league)

If a Simmons trade brings back one highly ranked (by Morey) player, this team will still have a bunch of holes. If Simmons brings a package (Spurs?) that fills a lot of holes, then other guys need to be consolidated to add one more firepower piece.

[streamable][/streamable]Here's a three way trade idea: Simmons to Minnesota, Russell to Nets and Kyrie and Minnesota 1st Rounder to Philly.

Also, a four way deal with Simmons to Minnesota, Russell to Nets, Kyrie to Miami and Lowry and Heat 1st Rounder and Minnesota 1st Rounder to Philly.

With both scenarios, there could be some picks and players added to balance the trade but those would be the main pieces. I'm also thinking that the team that gets Kyrie may want to get some commitment from Kyrie to an extension before signing off on the trade.
