At 9-12 where do you stand?

Tank World Order: Hope the team continues its downward trajectory so that they can add another top lottery pick talent to the core of Barnes and OG?

That's pretty much the consensus, yeah. I'd be completely OK with a pick in the late lotto and take a guy like Mathurin.

It doesn't have that feel like last year/2023where we NEED to be top 4.

He’ll still go top 10 but being on such a bad team (2-7 now) isn’t helping him at all.

Would the Raptors go with another SF/PF?

I'd be ok with Baldwin.

This draft is weaker at the top but has strong depth. There will be useful players available in round 2.

I was always low on him as well.

That tourny w Edey, chet and Victor? He was on USA, did nothing. Went to a small school, is like 2-6 at a small school. Had a good game against an 0-7 team and they got a win. That's what he's done.

And his dad is the coach...you don't think he's putting him in all the situations to succeed? No excuses for him. bust! Maybe a stretch 4 off the bench if he gains weight

He missed 4 of those games with an ankle injury I believe. They would have a couple more wins had he played probably.

Baldwin is not an ISO player, downside of being on bad team that plays a better team with size

Baldwin's ability to shoot, size and dribbling are still interesting. He can do lots of things on offense. Here are some passes. (Imagine Barnes or OG getting these passes instead of these scrubs).

Found some highlights on twitter, clipped them and posting here.

Mismatch situations he absolutely can kill in the league.

I've posted some half court iso stuff from him in the past, need to find them. Obviously his efficiency numbers have been down so I'm sure his iso numbers are dreadful. But he has all the tools to get it done. It could be something as simple as him not being able to shoulder the weight of such a trash team and so isn't all in on the games.

6’9” SG/SF from France with a 7’ wingspan. Some websites list him as a PG/SG so I’m not really quite sure what position he’ll play in the NBA, but he seems intriguing. Definitely fits the mold of players we like in terms of the insane positional length

His draft range varies widely depending on who does the mock. The NBL season just started so we’ll see how he’s viewed as the season progresses.

SG
Still raw on both end. I guess I need to watch the full game to see his mistakes, but from highlights, he seems he can project to create off the dribble with a quick release, and defend both guard positions.

Not much talk about Besson, looks impressive. 20 yr old withdrew from last draft due to injury.

Diengs season just started, so I’ll wait to make a proper judgement. But he does appear to have an intriguing skillset for his size and length

im sure we’ll be scouting him well since we were reportedly scouting both LaMelo and Giddey. I’m assuming that means we keep a good eye on the NBL and both Giddey and LaMelo have been hits. So if Masai were to end up drafting Dieng, I’d feel confident that he’ll be good.

Long way to go though. Need to see some more footage

His shot looks okay but the drive was slow. no ups. skinny.

Remember Lamelo and Giddey dominated the NBL. not 8 points. we will see tho

Well yea if he continues to put up 8 ppg in the NBL, it won’t be encouraging.

Giddey also had similar weaknesses and he’s turned out alright. He averaged around 11-7-7 in the NBL

I’d like to see Dieng be around 12-6-4 throughout the year and I’d feel good about him. Right now he’s at 5.5-3-1.5 with poor efficiency through just two games. Gonna need to see more

We should be targeting the 2023 draft. Wembanyama and Scoot look special.

The Canadian is nice too. Bigger wing, like Kobe, Vince, MJ, Tmac size.

We should want no part of a lottery pick in 2023.
