The Hawks are now 3-6 in games when the score has been within five points with under five minutes to go. That’s the fourth-worst record in the NBA in such situations. The Hawks are better than only the Pistons, Pacers, Spurs and Pelicans in those situations. Those are four of the worst teams in the NBA.

In clutch time, the Hawks are shooting 30.4 percent from the floor, the worst mark in the league by nearly two full percentage points. They’re 2-of-18 from 3 in the 29 clutch minutes they’ve played in, tied for the fewest 3-point makes. Turnovers haven’t been an issue in the final minutes of games, although the Hawks did have three against Brooklyn. It’s mostly come down to the Hawks not making shots late in games.
