Olivera Submits Porier; Retains Lightweight Belt; Peña Upsets Nunes; New Bantamweight Champ

Post#1 » by OrangeBlueSkies » Sun Dec 12, 2021 5:14 am

Biggest upset in sports this month.

What a fight and true heart and will from Peña. Love to see it

I knew Olivera would win it, but **** Dustin had him hurt bad. Love porier always so humble and honorable in defeat.

How the hell did Nunes tap so fast on the ground? Was so shocked to see that.

Seems like she didn’t want to be there or something. I agree with you

Peña caught her with some good shots, especially a few to the temple. In Nunes previous losses she gases when pressure is applied and we see that it hasn’t changed. Nunes honestly started fighting recklessly like Cyborg when she beat her and just tapped quickly.

Tough, defending a title that many times has to be tough. Especially having children and getting older. She had a good run though.

Ya her whole body language was like "screw this... I'm done"

I know there were talks of her retiring after this and she was even smiling during the match. Didn't seem like she cared too much.

Biggest betting upset of all time for a ufc title fight? Odds were like -1000 or something.

She ate 8 jabs to the head in a row without dodging, and another 30 in the 120 seconds before.

She was effectively out of the fight before the submission came.

I’d hate to see that, especially as it seems Kayla Harrison is going to get signed by the UFC

I know the name. Have less than no interest in watching women beat each other up.

However, as mentioned you have bantamweight women...and a board dedicated to towering 7 foot tall men dunking the backetball.

aside from geoff vs. santiago , the card was fantastic.

imagine if leon vs. jorge didn't fall through...

anyways 2021 was a great year of fights. my favorite card was 267.

I've always been a believer that Kayla would ragdoll Nunes on the ground and after tonight.. I'm certain she would.

She may be the GOAT but I have Shev solidly pound for pound as better. I’d say shrink Nunes down or make Shev bigger I’m taking Shev 7/10 times easy.
