Really sorts out the people that don’t understand sports.

On paper means nothing when Vuc is playing like a borderline NBA player. So basically remove his reputation from the equation and tell me how the Bulls have big talent advantage?
Vuc is an all-star talent. Him not living up to that right now is on him. The only better talent on the Heat is Lowry, and he's on his last legs. Talent-wise the Bulls still had Lavine, Lonzo, and Vuc. On paper the Bulls blow the Heat out. Instead the opposite happened. That's nobody's fault but their own.

vucevic is lumbering trash, we come back to within 7 with bradley and as soon as softevic comes back in it balloons to 17 in seconds. is bradley the solution no, but softevic is a big big problem. i hate to see him play. there is no energy with him on either side of the ball..SHO'NUFF wrote:Vucevic = A lower middle class Wendell Carter Jr.

But shame on the league for not postponing this game. That team out there tonight wouldn’t be able to beat Detroit. Until we get some people back, it’ll be Ls across the chest.

I doubt they are worried about being next but it doesn't mean the situation isn't frustrating, tiring and demoralizing. I think it's clearly had a mental impact.dice wrote:biggestbullsfan wrote:Also, you’ll be fooling yourself if you don’t think the current Covid outbreak is effecting our team mentality. yes, pro athletes have been notoriously skittish about contracting COVID

That's my read on it. Every game seemingly has another player or two test positive right before it. That has to be draining on everyone.

Detroit is probably the only guaranteed win....they could easily lose the rest of those games.

I agree with the league being irresponsible from a health standpoint, but not from a competitive standpoint.
With basically 4/5ths of our starting lineup that still includes Zach/Vuc, we shouldn’t be out classed so badly against a squad missing their two best players, and several rotation pieces too. The level to which the board is using covid as an excuse is crazy to me considering what Miami was missing too.
Vuc was bad (again). Dead horse, take some more punishment. I have slim hope he turns it around late, but unfortunately I think we’re seeing the cliff some rightfully feared. If he played “normal,” this, and many other games are a completely different story.
Zach was hot, but unable to really put any imprint on the game outside of hot shooting. Another game against the Heat where he was more than happy to take lots of long jumpers. Basically lazy shots for him as he can get those anytime, against anyone. I scrutinize Zach to a higher standard as our theoretical best player, and lone hope for a true star, so I’m often times more interested in how he plays than results...watching his evolution (or lack there of) over time. To be fair, they ran lots of doubles at him, but that’s what he’s going to see at his caliber.
Lonzo also stood out. He’s a darling for his defense, and rightfully so. But his offense really is strictly as a role player on that end in the half court. Strong spot up 3s, and I don’t know what else against a set defense. Seems very dubious how much he will impact playoff games.
Bright side is I can write that last sentence, and we will get healthier sooner than later.
