Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
Re: the hyper-analysis of Vuc (of which I'm a part), as soon as his first shot spun out (after a nice spin-move), I thought: "Here we go again." If that's the mindset of us fans, I'm sure that mindset is amplified 10-fold for Vuc. It's going to be a long while before he figures this out, if he ever does this season.

Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
Haven’t liked using Covid as an excuse and won’t but the league needs to take a week off.
This mass outbreak is more like last man standing than actual basketball . Plus it’s irresponsible to continue these mass spreader events.
This league is perpetuating a product that is infecting people , that is not a quality product .
It’s really easy to take a week break . Forgo a weeks games, nobody cares we could use a break from CovidBA

One thing should be said ... we are relatively fortunate with the schedule. Only three games in 7 days, with the third one being on Tuesday, a home matchup against a bad and injured Detroit team that we should beat. Certainly better than this happening during a packed schecdule.

But shame on the league for not postponing this game. That team out there tonight wouldn’t be able to beat Detroit. Until we get some people back, it’ll be Ls across the chest.
I agree with the league being irresponsible from a health standpoint, but not from a competitive standpoint.
With basically 4/5ths of our starting lineup that still includes Zach/Vuc, we shouldn’t be out classed so badly against a squad missing their two best players, and several rotation pieces too. The level to which the board is using covid as an excuse is crazy to me considering what Miami was missing too.
Vuc was bad (again). Dead horse, take some more punishment. I have slim hope he turns it around late, but unfortunately I think we’re seeing the cliff some rightfully feared. If he played “normal,” this, and many other games are a completely different story.
Zach was hot, but unable to really put any imprint on the game outside of hot shooting. Another game against the Heat where he was more than happy to take lots of long jumpers. Basically lazy shots for him as he can get those anytime, against anyone. I scrutinize Zach to a higher standard as our theoretical best player, and lone hope for a true star, so I’m often times more interested in how he plays than results...watching his evolution (or lack there of) over time. To be fair, they ran lots of doubles at him, but that’s what he’s going to see at his caliber.
Lonzo also stood out. He’s a darling for his defense, and rightfully so. But his offense really is strictly as a role player on that end in the half court. Strong spot up 3s, and I don’t know what else against a set defense. Seems very dubious how much he will impact playoff games.
Bright side is I can write that last sentence, and we will get healthier sooner than later.
Zach was fantastic . He had mvp like numbers last night. His only criticism is he started 6 minutes too late.
Oh the bulls were down 12 already. Like give the guy a break , he is not supposed to think the whole team is gonna let him down .
He played pretty much the same way vs. Miami last time and his shot was off, and then he proceeded to do nothing but play the same way. As I said, I look more at how he plays than specific results. I'm a fan. He's that kind of good, so I'm really hoping for more than just some good numbers because at this point pure numbers are just going to be there regardless of what style of game he plays that night.
I'd like to see him do more than take the easiest possible shot for himself when things are going sideways for the team, even if his shot is on that night. I'd like to see more momentum changing plays - drive hard, and dunk on someone once in awhile with that ridiculous athleticism. Go get to the line, get some and 1s. Hurt the other team in the post...he's shown a downright MJ/Kobe-esque turnaround at times this season.
No, I don't expect him to win games by himself when the rest of the team Vuc's it up. However, he could take step back 3s, and long 2s with a hand in his face back in high school. I want to see him evolve. It's scary, but he has the talent to go up yet another level. That's what I'm monitoring this season with Zach...that hoped for, continued evolution.

Yikes vs Pistons.
Would be hard for Donovan to throw that game but I trust him he could .
Here I will play his game and project Zach as A sf.
Billy doesn’t seem to be able to accommodate Zach as a god mode 1guard.

Have seen Zach dominate games as a sf .
Lebronesque /Butler like exertion of will .
Billy actually has the system to accommodate that .
Still doesn’t make it right for Billy to take his ball and go home if the team or a player transcends his gameplan .

Pistons matchup . Ok great but Pistons aren’t that good but we’ll take this 1 game at a time.
FC play is essential but I like stacking a backcourt 1st.
Billy can run this team 2 ways, FC heavy or BC heavy. In my opinion stacking the backcourt is more the modern game . Billy may need to become comfortable at both of these adaptations of the team to be most successful .
Vuc> Stewart
Brown < Grant
Zach > Bey
Lonzo > Cunningham
Caruso > Hayes

Re: PG: Windy City Bulls lose
This season I’ve viewed Zach as a positional mercenary .
And quiet honestly away from the SF position to appease any health concerns. Zach has been doing pretty great being a regular SG all season to a serviceable 1a ball handler like Lonzo .
Now I’m thinking Billy is getting Zach to be our SF which will make him more Than 1a scorer, it will make him an engine.
This could have some serious positive impact for the rest of the season. Right now I only struggle with why I didn’t think of that ? It’s been my intent to put these players in the best position to succeed.
Right now I think circumstances transcend that and now we have to add more responsibility and challenges to a player than before. Because the team needs it now to win but we may be stronger in the long run for it.

Just another Covid loss.Winning over the Heat on the road would be a tough task even with a healthy roster.
On the next.
Just win the Pistons(another tough task now we won´t have Zach).
