Randle didn't put himself in that position though.

NBA voters made him an All-NBA player when he's nowhere near the level of his peers.

The front office made him the face of the franchise when they unnecessarily gave him an extension last summer.

The front office thought they didn't have to bring in a starter-level playmaker to put Randle in the role that suits him best.

Listen I hate Randle's game and hope he gets traded, but the boos are crazy to me. He's an overrated, struggling player who's been set up to fail by this organization. He doesn't deserve the toxicity and abuse of fans booing him after he helped the team overachieve last year tbh.

The dude is playing like trash. Period. It has nothing to do with the FO or anything else. You get booed for a poor performance. He's had plenty that he didn't get booed for. I'm ready to pull the plug on the Fournier experiment. If his shot is off, he just doesn't impact the game at all. Can barely attack a close out because he doesn't have a quick first step and he's not a plus passer either. He should go to the bench with IQ or Rose taking his place (once we are healthy)

I understand your preference, but this is how it will be. Regardless of talent levels, FO mistakes, poorly calibrated expectations and so on fans will boo when they perceive a lack of effort on a losing team. Especially Knicks fans. It’s about to happen
