He's got a nice stroke and his movements on offense are smooth but he lacks foot speed and lateral movement to be the defender Klay Thompson was/is.

On offense though, there are strong similarities. On defense he will be good enough which makes him a big net positive.

Players in NY in all sports is such a recipe for disaster..Knicks have done this historically and now with Randle and Fournier..took the Knicks heading in the right direction with picks, cap space, roster flexibility, youth..and now only two of the 4 remain

I'm not gonna fall for the hype with Grimes until he shows some consistency.

But Grimes seems to have a nice stroke, and he moves well without the ball.

He does look small for a wing though. On top of that he looks like a mediocre athlete, and the off-the-dribble stuff appears very limited at this stage.

Hopefully he becomes a reliable 3-point shooter and a solid role player for us. That's all you can ask for from the 25th pick.

If anything, he should take some of Fournier's minutes and see the floor more regularly.

Great performance either way from the rook.

Grimes has something nobody on this team has, the ability to shoot when guarded with a hand in his face.

He looks lost, embarrassed, and depressed. I don't think it's due to a lack of effort.

Whatever they do, it needs to be a refresh. I'd much rather trade a pick or two to feature a good young core than to bring in some scorer to "help" Randle and Fournier. No.

Not this one but previously he’ll post and delete shade at Knicks fans. After he fouled on the game winning free throws in Brooklyn and the game after where he couldn’t guard Vuc on perimeter.
