Green Bay's ST unit is crap.

Its just sickening that we keep watching this pathetic franchise. what is wrong with us? I have half-watched replays of last 6-7 games, but decided to watch this one live. Boy, what a mistake already. The only reason its respectable is due to some special teams luck. Do not let the points total fool you. The Packers are beating us in just about all facets.
We are just a bottom tier team. Big brother packers just keep beating up on us and we cant ever seem to catch up. I, like many, have said it all season, we are in a rebuild. Things will get worse. We dont have the talent, salary cap, culture, coaches, front office, or the discipline at any level. Selling the team is the only way, the current owners are out of their league in terms of managing a winning team and having a winning culture.

That Grant is a keeper. He's been making plays for a few games in a row now. He looked like Devin Hester on that punt return. He's been about the only bright spot. Fields is giving away as many points as he's getting, per usual. Byrd showed some nice speed on that TD, too. I think their receiving corps is not bad- not the worst of their problems at least. Secondary seems to be the biggest weakness.

The issue with grant is that we already have mooney. They are both the 3rd/4th wide receiver at best on good teams. We dont have a 1 or 2. A-rob hasn't worked this year.
He is a keeper as a returner though. As long as he get his decision making a bit better. Many of the kicks returned from the end zone in the past have lost yards (at a higher frequency than one would like)

Took the Pack about a quarter to wake up and try to beat the Bears. So give the Bears credit for making the Packers give an effort.

Rodgers’ Bears lease extended another year.

he is an impact player. Whenever he touches the ball he is capable of making a big play.

My confidence level in Fields on a 1-10 scale is about a 3. Hope I’m wrong and of course it’s very early to predict with clarity, but I’m just not seeing the marks of a franchise QB.

I disagree, He was traded for potato chips. He has made some plays on a bad team. On a good team, I doubt he sees the field on offense much. He is 5'6" and like 160lbs. He is also 29 years old, not some rookie.
I guess time will tell who predicted better. He will be 4th/5th receiver on any halfway decent team and an ok returner with a few bone headed plays/fumbles.

His performance has seemed very uneven. As has seemed the Bears special teams overall.

It’s hard to tell about Fields we have a clown of coaching staff I see flashes of a franchise QB unlike Mitch I know very early with him.

I watched the KC Chiefs vs LV Raiders yesterday. And I watched the Bears game. The Chiefs have playmakers all over the field, on offense and defense. They haven't mortgaged their draft future on stop gap veterans that spend large portions of their tenure on IR. They don't pay outrageous premiums to move up in the draft to pick inferior players like Pace did with Trubisky. As we look to the next draft we barely have any picks (a 2nd, 3rd, 2 x 5th and a 6th) and we need help everywhere. So it will be more picking through the NFL trash bin. If I were the McCaskey's I'd try and poach Mike Borgonzi the Chief's Assistant GM away and have him replace Pace. And have him bring in as many other KC Personnel executives as he can. That KC organization is doing things right and could be heading to another Super Bowl. It's time to give up on Pace. Roquon Smith was a home run. But Trubisky was a failure. Kevin White was a failure. Leonard Floyd never lived up to his draft slot. Justin Fields has potential but needs weapons, a left tackle and a better offensive coordinator. Cole Kmet, either by talent or scheme, hasn't shown much. Our receiver unit has to be the thinnest in the league. And with no First rounder next year and so many holes to fill....where are we going to find playmakers? The Bears record speaks for itself. The franchise's trajectory is on a downward slope. That's on Pace. And Nagy to some extent. But the buck stops at the top....Pace HAS to go.

LMFAO. Sure Matt, we´ll just wipe the slate clean and forget the past 4 years of your clown show futlity so we can see how they could become a good team. So delusional, just can´t understand what world he lives in.

Would you trade both Mack & Quinn this offseason? We could probably get a 2nd for each

I would. At the very least, one of them needs to be traded to recoup a pick.

Re: Bears talk 2.0; Fields era begins for real for real
As a certified Fields hater (UGA fan) who was certainly down on him being the Bears choice as franchise QB, I will say that he looks a lot better now than he did at the beginning of the season.
His release has come a long way...he's getting the ball out much quicker than he did early in the season. His footwork looks better. He's doing a better job of sensing pressure while still trying to maintain a pocket presence. He's learning to be an NFL QB and is showing it on the field. Y'all watch him week in and week out so perhaps you don't see it, but given how rarely I watch the Bears, it's like night and day.

Re: Bears talk 2.0; Fields era begins for real for real
2nd huge nationally televised game where a bogus call totally steals our momentum!!!
That muffed punt call when they flagged that Vildor guy for out of bounds. Huge call.
We get turnover, we're on like their 20 with a chance to cut score to 3.
You're gonna beat GB in GB, you're gonna need luck like this. We got it and the refs took it away.
Same deal with the Cassius Marsh taunting call in Pitt.
We were just about to seize momentum. Huge call the negates us getting the ball back.
Hard enough for as rookie QB to win on the road. Refs have killed us with 2 huge calls.
We get W's in those 2 games - over GB and PIT - on the road - we're sitting at 6-7.
WAS is in the playoffs right now at 6-7.....
If we had beat that Lamar-less Ravens squad a couple of weeks ago.....
He's still 2 years younger than Wilson was as a rookie QB
Payton Manning was 3-13 and had more INT's than TD's as a rookie.
Rodgers was 6-10 his first full year as a QB after sitting behind Farve for 3 years
Rough season but the kid is hanging in there tough. I'm impressed.
These 2 bogus calls really have killed what could have been some momentum building.
