Micah Prescott wrote:I want to give the Dallas defense a lot of credit but it was Taysom Hill with a lack luster WR core. I mean yeah he's going to be throwing into bad situations especially late in the game when down 10 points.

Also New Orleans went for 405 yards which is not good.

Dallas offense looked "okay" and somehow they are still #1 overall in yards per game, even after those games missing Cooper/Lamb.

I don't know, I'm glad we won and it's great to see turnovers but at the same time it wasn't the most convincing win.

I thought the Cowboy offense completely sucked. And the only reason why the defense gave up all those yards is because they were on the field most of the game. Way too many 3 and outs, etc,.

377 total yards, 28 min of possession compared to their 32 min.

It wasn't a great offensive effort or anything but "sucked" is a pretty strong take. Dak's one forced INT sucked I'll give you that.

We still are averaging the most yards per game in the NFL so I'm not ready to declare this offense is bad. The defense is thriving on turnovers which is a little scary to me because it feels like there is a decent element of luck involved with that. But our guys are always in the right place at the right time and that's what it takes.

It's true the offense has not been great since the Chiefs game.

The Washington game is the perfect game for Dak and the Cowboy offense to get their swag back.

We just need to get "hot" when the playoffs start. Hopefully everyone is healthy and gelling together. I think that Dallas can beat any team in the NFL if everything is flowing properly on all cylinders. It's just that we aren't always in that perfect state or we aren't always healthy. So it's just a matter of timing and getting hot when it matters most. We'll see.

I never said they were a bad offense, but they sucked in this game I don't care what you think. Outside the big run by Pollard the run game was pretty much non-existent. Cooper was limited and still is looking like he is recovering from covid. Remember he was non vaccinated and I've notice those who are not vaccinated take an extra week to recover. Great to have Lamb back but he looked a bit rusty to me and dropped a couple balls. T.Smith and Collins for sure looked rusty to me and I think all of this effected the timing and everything by just getting back. Dak is still making too many over throws and is starting to make bad decisions 3 or 4 times a game. We need to get this offense gelling again or we won't be going too far in the playoffs once again.

McCarthy just guaranteed a Cowboys win at Washington.

More pressure on the Cowboys by doing that.

You know we give McCarthy hell and deservedly so the guy makes bad calls regularly BUT that said, I like this guarantee

McCarthy isn't scared to put his reputation on the line, and also he clearly isn't scared to go for it on 4th. I appreciate his fearlessness.

He just needs to get better at other things, the tangibles, basic fundamentals, clock management, player management, etc.

But his guarantee was really not that convincing.

Dak had to have his back on this one.

In fact, McCarthy looked like he wanted to retract his statement.

Nothing wrong with a convincing guarantee, but the way McCarthy sounded, it was not convincing.

The offense wasn't pretty, but a win is a win.

It was all defense that got the Cowboys the win.

More importantly, the Cowboys are right back on track for a 12-5 season record.

I'm not worried about the offense.
Dak will figure it out.

That might have been Daks worst game ever. But one of the best defensive efforts in a while. Wow when all of our defenders are healthy is a nightmare for the QB.

We know this offense can play at a high level when it's all clicking. We just need to make sure they are clicking come playoff time.

Yesterday was the perfect example why it took Jerry so long to pay Dak. He never thought Dak was the guy deep down. Mr. B and I have been discussing this topic in here for 3 years now. Once again, here we are. In December, big game when things start to have all kinds of implications, Dak starts to play like Tony Homo. Thanks to Dak, the final score was a lot closer than the game actually was and should have been. I'm kinda getting tired of the excuses when you see a guy like Colt McCoy come in for 3 weeks and win two of them without Hopkins. We have an injury or two and have Cooper out for a couple weeks and we fall apart on offense. We then get Cooper back with Lamb, Gallup,Smith and Collins and now Dak struggles with all his weapons because Elliott is not 100% and Pollard is out. It is starting to appear to me that Dak is not capable of putting everything on his shoulders and making everyone around him better when times get tough. unless the defense plays lights out in the playoffs we will lose because of Dak Prescott.

I've seen nothing but regression since Dak came back from his calf injury.

I think we'll know for sure once the playoffs come along.

If Dak is really just like Tony Romo then Stephen A. Smith is right, the Cowboys won't win a playoff game this season.

I think the Cowboys can make the NFC championship game this season.

But we've seen what Dak and the Cowboys offense is capable of before the calf injury.

It's just a matter of time before the offense starts clicking again.

Sure, but we won't be playing the Giants, Atlanta, Eagles, Washington or Saints in the playoffs.

There is a hell of a lot more to who wins a football game than the QB.

Romo wasn't even that bad in the playoffs...over 6 games they went 2-4 where he threw 8 TDs and only 2 INTs. It has also been shown he was one of the more clutch QBs in the NFL. The whole choker stigma started with the Seattle muffed snap and every time Dallas lost after that simpletons just pointed at the QB.

Football isn't a tennis match between 2 QBs. There are 53 players and an entire coaching staff that all contribute to wins and losses.
