I'll pay attention when something actually changes.
it is definitely a story.
If the team has renewed optimism, it needs to be event based. It isnt like marks just woke up and was like "ya know, i feel better about kyrie playing today"
Shams spells out it could be road games, which would be a pivot for marks. he points out KD has talked with him more, to this point that hasnt happened. This on the heels of the plant based vaccine stuff
before today the only real news was eric adamas/NYC mandate stuff or wild speculation about "crytic kyrie IG posts"
this is for sure news
I agree. This isn't nothing.
Shams is as good as it gets. Somebody from KD or Kyrie's camp has leaked this.
And if you look at social media its obvious KD/Kyrie are talking. Liking each others posts and stuff.
I always knew at some point Kyrie would want to come back.
Yeah.
To be honest, they should have just let him play road games to start with. Kyrie is just following city rules and making a personal health decision. As unpopular as it may be (and as naive as it may be) it is still his body and its an unprecedented situation. It was never Kyrie's choice to miss games. Missing games was the consequence of sticking to his beliefs
It isnt like Kyrie said he didnt want to play or wanted a coach fired or gave some ultimatum. he was practicing and ready to play every game he was allowed to play. When the Nets decided to not let him play, he handled it as well as possible, with no animosity. While giving up 17 million dollars in the process.
In the mean time, a dozen unvaccinated players got to play in barclays and sweat/breath/sneeze/cough/lick all over Durant and Harden and the rest of our guys. Because they play for road teams.
Kyrie made a health choice. the city restricts people who make that choice. its really not an NBA issue. I think they should have let him play. Tsai tried a power play. but Kyrie isnt going to let money get in the way. they realize that now. i dont think they ever minded kyrie only playing road games, i think they just felt they could strong arm him
Nets are a strong organization. i think they will accept whatever scrutiny comes with reversing their decision for the betterment of the team and to do what was probably the right thing to start with. Its clear there is minimal if any animostiy between Kyrie, the Nets, and the owners (Clara Tsai's interview all but confirmed that. Kyrie said publically he doesnt have any issue with the nets)
Hopefully we see him back soon.
