I like watching documentaries and my daughter told me to check out this three part doc. It was really good.

Everyone here complains about Succession Season 3, but episode 8 was pretty good: “Don’t open up Pandora’s Box, there’s just more dicks in it.”

Caught up with the new season of Dexter. Other than a good performance by Clancy Brown it’s butt. Too many wrongs can be righted. Should’ve let it lay.

Nah, this season has been a real good throwback to first couple. Very much enjoying it.

I guess my biggest issue is

Spoiler:
The character of Harrison, the actor who plays him and the convoluted way they integrated him into the story is lame and annoying. They could’ve easily left that loose end from the previous season alone and made an enjoyable fresh start. The good stuff of this year is Dexter being Dexter and not juggling the whiny teenager stuff in there.

Spoiler:
It would’ve been a bit too fresh of a start if Harrison wasn't brought in imo, think that loose end would've been a bit too big of a hole in the story to ignore and I think he's been important in tying the past & present and in Dexter's development this season, even if the character himself is whiny lol.

I do think the Dexter/Harrison dynamic can be a bit tiresome at moments and again agree he can be a bit whiny. But it’s kinda understandable thinking about the totally **** up life he must have had, and we’ve seen glimpses of it to this point but I do think they’re working towards a pretty dark payoff with all of this, just taking a while to set it up.

I’m out here avoiding Succession spoilers harder than I ever did for something like Game of Thrones.

I'll say this: Succession is to Game of Thrones what Mad Men was to Sopranos.

That’s funny because my friend describing Mad Men as “Sopranos in an ad agency” is exactly what first led to me watching.

Thanks for bringing up GOT because a coworker and I were comparing it with Succession this AM. I haven't watched the finale but Succession is like the anti-GOT for me. Where GOT was loosely based on the War of the Roses, there are tons of murders and death, and many likable characters you don't want to die; Succession has zero deaths and I want everyone to die.

Succession and Yellowstone are actually some pretty similar premises/stories. One based in super rich NY, the other in ranches. Of course the ranch one has more action/violence though.

The back half of Succession was incredible yesterday. Maybe a rewatch in a few months will change things but I'm still not sure the season as a whole was better than 1 or 2 but the performances by the actors playing the family went up a notch this season.

Enjoyed the Succession finale. And Dexter's latest episode. And Curb (Tracey Ullman is great).

Yellowstone is really flexing when it has two different 2 minute long country songs played over cowboys doing some ranchin'. And let's not forget showing a horse ****.

Maybe Taylor Sheridan is spreading himself too thin. Yellowstone, 1883 and now Kansas City. Plus he wrote 2 movies this year. I forgot he played a cop in Sons of Anarchy.
