Okay here is my attempt;

LAL Ben Simmons, Seth Curry

Sixers Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield

Kings Tobias Harris, Thybulle, and a protected 1st

I recently found this gem of an article:

https://www.inquirer.com/sports/sixers-tobias-harris-brett-brown-jimmy-butler-20190721.html

It's really weird to read this from today's perspective, but it is interesting how Harris managed to be so severely overestimated by everyone on the Sixers, including EB and BB, or the book guy knew how to quietly sell himself and they were panicked enough to buy it.

Somebody else proposed that exact trade. It's on the trade board somewhere. Also in the Simmons thread. Anyway, Kings fans seem amenable.

He was the smartest guy in the room. Reading is no joke.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

It'd be a perfect trade. My only concern is that they'd all be bringing the same bad taste in their mouth from Sacramento. You'd have to hope a culture change could inspire all of them.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards

So sad that we were at a moment that important for the franchise and had no competent decision makers. As Eyeamok said, Tobias was the smartest guy in the room, and it wasn't particularly close.

The smart move would have been to dump Elton, Brett, and Tobias, trade Ben when he was still sought after, and lock up Jimmy. Who knows, we might have had a ring already if more good decisions like that had been made.

If they would've made all those moves, the correct ones even at the time but also the probably completely unfeasible ones; I would go as far as to say it's almost certain they would have a Finals appearance at this point.

Pretty shameless admission from this loser with a defeatist mentality. I'm not shocked that he's been a mental midget that's continually shrunk under the brightest lights during his entire tenure here. He isn't even great in his own mind, who are we to fight to say otherwise.

Wow. Just wow.

This is the same guy who wanted assurance from Brown that he would be more of a primary scoring option before gracing his signature on a max contract that he wouldn't have sniffed anywhere else. What a disgrace.

How does this thread have 38 pages? The idea of trading Tobi is honestly laughable at this point…unless you want to attach Maxey and multiple 1st round picks

Yeah, the myth of Tobi as a snubbed all-star is now probably history even nationally. He is a walking, talking (and reading) albatross.

He's worth about what Horford was traded for to OKC.

Tobias has been horrible lately I dont think you could trade him for anything that made remote sense right now.

Pretty clear that something has to change

Assuming that no Ben trade is close and that Doc isn’t canned then Harris must go

Seems like Tobias is a popular guy but Morey must see it

I would do Hield & Bagley in a heartbeat and add something if necessary

If deals like this or something with the Jazz around Ingles aren’t on offer then do we bite the bullet on someone like Wall?

Horrendous contract but at least it’s a year shorter and he can run the point

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
