I would be blown away if he was cut. There's a good player in there, but he's not showing up. And as you noted, he has the world's longest leash as a card carrying member of the Security Blanket BoizZz.xdrta+ wrote:wco81 wrote:GunnerWRX wrote:Kerr had a long chat as Lee came off the floor after that made 3. I hope it actually pays off later this season/in the playoffs.
Lee was actually hanging his head and passed up a couple of looks.
Feeling pressure being a marginal NBA player with a newborn.
He's sweating out the January guarantee date for his contract. He's on the bubble and he knows it. At the start of the season you would have thought GP2, the other non-guarantee, would be the one sweating, but keeping him looks like a sure thing now.

Also, you can tell how old he is because I had to scroll down to get to the current season.
I don't trust my memory but wasn't Iggy always a guy who could not shoot 3s the first half of the season.
Iggy 3 shooting career: regular season 2.7 at 33%, playoffs 3 threes at 36%
Last year regular season 2.9 threes at 35%, playoffs 1.8 at 45%
2016 Warriors regular season 2.4 at 35%, playoffs 2.7 at 37%
The idea in my head isn't about regular season vs playoffs.
The idea in my head is that the first half of the regular season Iggy shoots 3s poorly.
I just used playoffs as a stand in for the 2nd half of the regular season.
He has hit some clutch 3s but I never thought of Iggy as a good 3 point shooter

That’s the point here…he was never a good shooter to begin with, and now he is god awful.
First half or second half, it doesn’t matter

I'd imagine that poole and wiggs don't have the greatest off/ons because kerr has then tied together. When they go off, steph comes in. When steph goes off, poole/wiggs stay on.

Anytime someone from the other team scored its usually Poole losing his man.
Not enough effort from him on that side. But on offense he has tons of energy to do dribble moves. Go figure.

Toasting Threesus with a Naked and Famous. Steph is famous, and I'm... watching.
It is a recent discovery for me. I'd been having Paper Planes, a Last Word variant:
3/4 oz Bourbon
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
3/4 oz Aperol
3/4 oz Amaro Nonnino
Then recently discovered this Naked and Famous. It is also a Last Word variant. Looks very similar to a Paper Plane. Tastes surprisingly similar given the different ingredients, but is slightly sweeter:
3/4 oz Mezcal
3/4 oz Lime Juice
3/4 oz Aperol
3/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse
Nice...I often drink Bourbon, Aperol, Amaro and Antica...little heavier on the Bourbon. Looks good.

Talking about Poole scraping for points...impressive total on an unimpressive stat line (outside of FTs).

Steph's whole career they were together. It was kind of wierd seeing camera shots of Del and Sonya on different shots vs being together tonight

Stats need to be looked in context.
Poole plays 44% of his minutes with Steph off-court. That is much more than the other starters - Wiggins/Draymond/Looney = 28%/24%/20% of their minutes are with Steph off-court.
Steph has a high on-court net rating. Playing a higher % with Steph off-court than others will drag down the on/off rating.
On the flip side, the more minutes one plays with Steph, the better on/off rating one will have.
Poole's usage rate is 32.6% with Steph off-court, with a decent .589 ts%, and +0.7 points per 36 minutes. That is very respectable. Out of the 5 Finals run, we only had 1 (maybe 2?) seasons with a positive +/- with Steph off court.
For better or worse, Poole is carrying most of the offensive load (super high usage rate with a good ts%) when Steph is off-court, and the team is not losing our lead when Steph sits (as previous seasons). That's something we haven't seen often.

Because he plays a lower share of minutes with Curry and has played some garbage time that drags down the numbers. Poole plus Wiggins with no Curry line-ups are very effective, too. I really don't get the sudden and now constant hate for Poole, he's having a very good season for a 22 year old and is badly needed to create offense when Steph sits. Who cares about what he does during garbage time on a team that is 23-5.

Steph got his two veteran teamamtes, iggy and green, engraved rolex's.
That was a neat gesture IMO. Nice of him to recognize those two who have been alongside him for a lot of this journey.
I'd have to imagine Klay already got his? Or will when they return

Shouldn’t be in then.. the defense and playmaking isn’t what it used to be. And normally I’m not gonna bet against Iguodala, but this parallels his time with the Heat
Maybe he’s saving it for playoffs like he used to, but I’d like to see him do Iguodala things every so often
Still a smart player and solid defender but.. I don’t think we can count on him for anything offensively at this time. Hope he proves me wrong but Father Time is still undefeated

Re: Warriors vs. Knicks 12/14
The lineup with Steph, Lee, Iggy, JTA, Belly was hilarious. I was screaming at the TV for someone to shoot the ball.
In no way are Lee/Iggy/JTA non-rotation level players. They are. But anyone outside of the guys we rely on every night should probably be in a tier where their minutes fluctuate based on performance. It's normal for bench players not to be consistent all year. But right now is definitely the time to be playing Kuminga, GP2, and Moody in some of those guys spots.
It's not a knock on them either, just the reality of roster spots 8-15 or so. Lee carried the bench to start the season. Now he's in a major funk, probably from combo of injury, newborn at home, lack of confidence... thats fine, he will get it back at some point, but for now I'd love to see his minutes go to the other 3 mentioned.

Without Ottomatic, that lineup suffers a lot. If Belly wasn't shy shooting and Otto plays, that lineup has been killing teams all season so far. The other 2 could be any mixture.
