It's game over if he's hitting these.

Lmao look at Brooklyn bench's reaction on that. It's like how good is this guy type of reaction lol.

i was at the game. there's many times, including OT where he had an opportunity to be aggressive with the ball but decided to take it back out. that's on him and only him.

I care very little about wins and losses this year because seeing this 20 year old phenom grow every game is a treat. this guy has legit MVP type potential.

All we should care about this year is the amazing Barnes flashes. I was as high as anyone on Barnes but I did not expect step back 3s 27 games into his career down the stretch of a game to tie it.

Kid is a baller man.

Lol while guarding KD the whole game. IMO he did as well as you could too. I want to see what the matchup data will say but most of KD's points came when they got Scottie switched off him.

Kawhi year 4: 16.5 PTS (48/35/80), 7.2 REB, 2.5 AST, 2.3 STL, 0.8 BLK, 1.5 TOV

Scottie year 1: 15.4 PTS (49/37/73), 8.3 REB, 3.3 AST, 1.1 STL, 1.0 BLK, 1.9 TOV

I'm not saying Scottie will be our new Kawhi, but damn...the more we see him play, the more excited I get for this team in a year or two.

IMO the ceiling has always been Kawhi. I never saw the Giannis comps personally. What makes Giannis who he is are is absurd measurements and strides. Scottie lowkey looks very, very much Kawhi lite.

When defended by Scottie this year, KD has shot 42% (8/19).

Wow, Scottie is already close to year 4 Kawhi numbers. Scottie has the potential to be a taller version of Kawhi.. insane

Never would have thought he’d be this good this soon. I can’t wait until the switch flips for him and he realizes he’s the best player we have on the floor and decides to takeover games.

These numbers are great! Just imagine how much better he would be of he had a reliable defensive center behind him so he can worry less about playing aggressively. People really underestimate how much Jarrett Allen is boosting Mobley's numbers right now.

Kawhi was a better defender coming into the league. I also hope people aren't expecting him to be Kawhi. He's a unicorn and it's more likely he isn't Kawhi than he is.

It's a mix of willingness to get better, work ethic and actually having coaches that can fix a shot. Also not being afraid to use what he's worked on in game helps.

Just to give some perspective here are Kawhi's college numbers.

Image

It is absolutely ridiculous 26 games in, especially considering that he basically showed NONE of this in college. The confidence to be shooting stepback 3s late in the 4th, taking it right to KD despite his ridiculous length.

I am never this optimistic, but he'll be able to get any shot he wants next year.
