I've always struggled with gin because I think it tastes like pine trees, but that would be appropriate for Christmas, so I might try to come up with something using it too.

Cheers!

Good gin does not taste like pine trees. Gin is a serious bang-for-the-buck booze. Buy some Hendrick's or Plymouth gin.

Good deal, thanks. I went and picked up a few different smaller bottles of gin today to try out a few different kinds - I got some Hendricks, Monkey 47, Botanist and Gunpowder Irish gin - hopefully one of these hits the spot (and the other 3 make me forget it).

I've never had a Tom & Jerry before... what do they taste like?

My favorite cocktail is one part ice, 3 parts bourbon.

Assuming that’s a nonstarter, I present The Fauntleroy

http://thecharmingdetroiter.com/the-fontleroy-a-bourbon-cocktail/amp/

I’ve made these before sans egg whites and they are good, though the most Christmas-y part is the rosemary sprig that resembles a Christmas tree
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

One of my favorite cocktails ever is a gimlet made with Hendrinks and St. Germain. Had it at a place in Chicago and while I don't remember the exact method anymore, this looks to be it. There might be a small dash of simple syrup too.

My wife makes Hendricks and St Germain concoctions over the holidays. They're almost always good.

Kind of like spiked egg nog, but thicker. The mix is gooey until you put it in the microwave.

Honestly, hot rum (I know the usual is brandy but I hate that ****) and egg nog is usually all I want in a holiday cocktail.

I actually picked up some St Germain too, so I’ll have to give those recommendations a try too, thanks!

Interesting, I’ll check it out thanks. For some reason egg nog never clicked for me, but maybe this will.

St Germain... my favorite city in the north woods

I will strongarm my wife into coughing up a recipe or two tonight. They're really good. And the womenfolk LOOOOOVE them, so, ya know, maybe you get laid for your trouble.

Had my booster today. Even though in Australia we've mostly dodged much bad stuff from Covid, they shortened the booster timeframe to 5 months since your last dose. It's such a privilege to live in a wealthy country where I can get all this stuff if I want.

Probably should stop having a couple of beers the day I get jabbed

Their passing was far better in that 3rd set. They were able to get better swings.

This has been a fun watch. I'm so amazed at the power of these spikes. 16 would put it straight through my face, just unreal. Let's finish strong and take it.
