Asking for a friend…..

I don't know how good your friend is but I doubt the Knicks would go higher than IQ, RJ, Mitch, Charlotte 1st rounder and a couple of 2nd rounders PLUS FOURNIER for him. But with this FO and Dolan, you never know!

Fox is a fast mini-Randle, if that.

SGA or draft capital sounds good to me though.

Randle for Fox never made much sense for me. at best a lateral move for the Kings

but there is a deal to be made w/ them. take back Bagley and Thompson (salary purposes) and ask for their picks, notably their 2022 1st (definite lotto pick)

Fox
Haliburton
Barnes
Randle
Holmes

w/ Hield and Mitchell off the bench.....that's not a bad squad, not a contender, but maybe in 2023 they'd be able to break their playoff drought....more talent than we have here

I don't see that line-up making the playoffs in the West personally. Maybe they make the play-in as a 10th seed.

But from the Knicks angle I would sure take that deal.

How can you not hate that trio though.

It's like 1/3rd of the Kings lol

Penetrating lighting quick guard is perfect for Thibs
Heild is one of the best shooters in the game
and Bagley for potential.

Remember they play for the Kings. The amount of dysfunction in that Franchise, makes our Franchise look like the Brady Bunch

If these guys were any good, the Kings wouldn't be one of the worst teams in the NBA. Not just this year, ever since these guys came into the league.

Hield is shooting 38.2% from the floor. 35% from 3. 53.5% TS. Hardly one of the best shooters imo.

Fox fits Thibs's archetype, you're right, but he's not a starting point guard on a good team. He can't shoot, and his feel for the game is really questionable in the halfcourt. The Kings have been better with him off the court in 4 of his 5 seasons in the NBA.

Bagley still has some upside, but he's not a good player as of today. He's not even average right now.

You're literally taking on the Kings' problems, and letting them keep their few good pieces. At least that's my POV.

Maybe we can benefit from Randle dropping 30 vs the Warriors and benefit from Mitch’s small cap hold.

Randle, Mitch & Knox for Kuminga, Wiseman and Wiggins ?

I'm rewatching 2017 NBA Draft... holllyyyyy shhhhittt Boston offered us #3 (Jayson Tatum), Jaylen Brown + more 2017 1st rd pick for KP but Phil wanted more.

Obviously Phil was just threatening KP... but dammmnnn man what did we get, Randle?

Maybe.

Obviously this is the Grimes question.

I think he looks good and I'd want to keep Grimes. I don't care about a pick no better than 16 2 years from now.

The question is if Grimes is legit good, like 6th man or better good, or if he's Hubert Davis with a bit better defense. If the 2nd, then sure. Thing is, we don't know, it's a risk.

Without Grimes and they take the rights to Jokobitus? All day.

Stan Mode OFF: You have to keep Grimes, because he is your one opportunity at having a lethal shooter on a cost-controlled basis. That makes him worth a lot actually

I remember when Randle was >>>>>> KP , proving the Knicks won the trade with Dallas.

September iirc.

not this year for sure, but next year IMO they could be competitive w/ that roster + a good HC. Maybe it's b/c I'm a big Fox fan that I think this tho

I hate to say it but I wouldn’t hate this…. I really like Kuminga as a long term piece, Wiggins isn’t complete trash and has fewest years than Randle, and you never know Wiseman might figure it out.

I think they offered us a pick. Also the Suns never offered Booker it was the third pick that became Josh Jackson.

What is the first trade domino to fall?

I mean, besides Galloway.
