The last stretch of games could have been a nightmare without Bam, Butler, & the others, but my confidence in the team has only grown as we've had to go deeper. Martin, Vincent, & Strus have been very good, and Dedmon has been solid off the bench. Herro had a hot start to the season, but these other guys have been carrying us in the absence of our stars.

3-point shooting Statistics (as of Dec 15, game against the 6ers)

League Average: 34.8%
Miami Heat: 36.2%, 8th place
Opponents: 34.5%, 15th place

Miami 3 pt shooting (as of Dec 15) {more than 50 3-pt attempts)

Tucker (36 for 79) 45.6%, 5th in the league
Vincent (37 for 95) 38.9%, 55th in the league
Strus (41 for 107) 38.3%, 61st in the league
Herro (65 for 170) 38.2%, 62nd in the league
Martin (20 for 53) 37.7%, not enough games for ranking
Robinson (84 for 349) 33.7%, 114th in the league
Lowry (60 for 179) 33.5%, 119th in the league

League Highs: {for comparison}

Cody Martin (charlotte, yes… Caleb’s brother) 33 for 66 (50%)
Joe Harris (nets, 41 for 88) (46.6%)
Valanciunas (pels, 33 for 71) (46.5%)
Mike Conley (jazz, 63 for 138) (45.7%)
P.J. Tucker
Grant Williams (leprechauns, 43 for 95, 45.3%)
Luke Kennard (clippers, 79 for 175, 45.1%)
Eric Gordon (rockets, 56 for 125, 44.8%)
Patty Mills (nets, 89 for 199, 44.7%)

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Heat have second easiest schedule remaining in the league per tankathon. .477 combined opp record.

We need at least 2 of the Jimmy/Herro/Bam/Martin to come back ASAP, we can lose to any team with all them out.

Can't expect Duncan and Gabe to look like allstars every game

The positive out of the injuries is that it forced Spo hand to let inexperienced players play and play through their struggles and a chance to correct themselves. Not benching them on their first mistake. November and December IMO is the best time to experiment and give young players experience. This should benefit this team come playoff push time and the playoffs.

I think Lowry has had a very positive influence on these guys stepping up with significant confidence. I’m really looking forward to getting back Bam, Butler, Dipo, Herro and Morris. I know it’s still early but a healthy Heat team could go deep into the playoffs.

There’s potential out there to add a star player to this group. I wonder which direction we’ll choose.

Sabonis trade will demand a lot. Best destination for him is Portland or Pelicans.

This is a contending roster. You seen how well this team can play healthy at season start without knowing how to play with each other much. All teams healthy this team will Duke it out with Bucks and Nets.

Sabonis might be the better player, but it's M.Turner whos the better fit here next to Bam.

Feels like there's talent to be had out there, a bunch of good players in bad situations.

I agree. One of those situations where you weigh fit over talent, especially considering we can’t keep Herro in a Sabonis trade.

The team as is, at full health and if Lowry and Duncan have truly found their shots we’re a legit contender. It’s us and the warriors imo but I know anything can happen in the playoffs. If Kyrie is out the only team in the East that can knock us out is the Bucks. Only team in the west is the warriors, maybe the suns.

A nice 34-8-4 last night. Possibly the worst player I’d trade Herro for

You just know Oladipo is champing at the bit to play. He will add a lot to this team's ability to score. Can't wait!!

This is a good team. And if healthy at the right time, is gonna have a good shot to come out of the East. Not scared of Brooklyn or Milwaukee in the least bit.

Spo keeping the group above water during this injury/covid period is gonna pay dividends when the schedule lightens up. Haven’t checked recently, but I still wager we’ve played the most road games among all NBA teams up until this point. If not definitely among the top.

I'd say decent shot at the east. I would still highly favor a healthy Bucks and a Nets team with Kyrie over the Heat. I think this is a league of talent. Most of the time, team with the best player usually wins.
If the Heat can someway upgrade the 4 spot with one of Barnes, Turner or Grant then collectively they might be good enough to beat anyone and I'd have them even odds with Bucks or Nets.
I just hope if they don't get to ECF fans don't start pilling on the team or the coach. I think expectations are 2nd round. If they exit to either Nets or Bucks I would still consider it a successful season.

We were far and away the best team in the East to start the season before injuries and all that, back by just about every metric. This was with Robinson and Lowry building empires with bricks.

Why are we limiting ourselves to coming out of the East? Our biggest hurdles are in the East imo. Or at least 2 out of the 3. Nets Bucks and Warriors.

Lowkey I wouldn’t be mad if the NBA took a month off beginning New Year’s Day (because I selfishly need Christmas games). Take Jan. Off and then first 2 weeks of Feb. practice only before starting back up.

Try and get over this Covid stuff and we would be returning Jimmy Bam and Dipo to the roster with 2 full weeks of practice under their belt.
