Strus would start, Herro would be a 6th man

Only if Herro struggled with defense but with Turner there Herro would get more support. Spo would have to play some more zone or a defense that would maximize Turner's shot-blocking ability.

No way this org is trading Bam for guys like Sabonis and Turner. We don't give up the best player in a trade.
More realistic and much better for the team is targeting Turner alone, Or Jermey Grant. Using Duncan + stuff.

Yeah, I don’t see us targeting Sabonis either. I think we work around the edges of that and angle for one of Grant, Ingram, Turner, Barnes - possibly in that order.
We need to be able to free up the picks, then we’ll be able to get something going. That might be the first domino to fall.

Herro doesn't start is because of his offense. Your minimizing Herro to being put in the corner and being minimized to a spot up shooter instead of a scorer.harlem_ball wrote:twix2500 wrote:harlem_ball wrote:Lowry/Vincent

If we’re trading Bam we better be getting Embiid, Jokic, or Giannis.

I think the point is that if Bam is getting moved anytime soon it should only be for one of those players, anything else at center would be a downgrade, although I'm not too sure about that. Also, this roster was shaped around Bam's uniqueness to switch well.

I don't think anyone is saying they'd move their stars for Bam but the only way that person would trade Bam if those guys were coming back.
If Riley wants his whale he needs to go after Embiid because it's starting to look like another lost season for Embiid, push the idea of the 76ers not having move Simmons if Embiid is moved which means getting younger and not taking 50 cents on the dollar for Simmons. Unless Philly get a top 30 talent for Simmons or in a package with Simmons which FITS with Embiid, they're probably not going to be a true contender with Embiid. They're waiting on having a shot at Lillard though.
I just don't/didn't think Embiid and Simmons would work. They were 2 great talents that needed the opposite type of player then who they got paired with. Simmons needs a fast athletic big to run with and Embiid needs a good shooting PG/whatever position Simmons is to help open up the floor so he can play closer to the basket with less help.

Re: Miami Heat Regular Season Thread 21-22 Vol. 1
Anyone getting a feeling of Miami holding M.Morris out longer then is needed because they're wanting to see other combinations or/and wanting to move him? A.Bradley seemed to go through an extended period of not being available last year and was available to Houston pretty quickly after being moved, the year before J.Johnson and D.Waiters went through extended times being out that seemed much more then they needed. Maybe Miami is being safe but it seems this doesn't happen to their key players like Butler (who recently came back possibly too early) and Bam.
I do wonder if Miami was upset with the foul Morris did against Jokic and are worried something like that could happen during a close playoff game that possibly costs them the game.

bam has the potential to be a generational marking player a lot like gianis... sadly he won't reach it with this coach and these kind of players (to the exception of hero and a few other scraps and maybe Robinson)
He ain't going anywhere unless it's for a huge star

Wait what? Giannis gets a lot of ability from being so long where he can dunk it easily anywhere around the basket. I actually think Spoelstra has gotten more out of Bam then most coaches would. Bam doesn't look to take advantage of smaller players when presented with that opportunity which is on him not the coach.
Let's take what is considered a lesser player in Sabonis, I completely believe Sabonis would do a better job than Bam in Miami's offense and I actually think he would be offensively what people want Bam to be, the big issue would be Bam being a better defender.

I haven't read or heard anything that would suggest the Heat is upset with Morris in any way. A couple of years ago he missed 6 weeks due to a neck injury which I'm sure was impacted by the cheap shot from the clown.
