Big lol. When you have arguably the second best player of all time in KD, it won't matter come playoff time; he is the man and the driving force behind this team and is the greatest Net of all time. Sorry Kidd, as much as I loved you in your hey day, you ain't no KD. And on a side note, I do believe they are shopping one or two of the rookies with Harris to try and find a way to use that combo to nab Turner/Sabonis from the Pacers. If that trade goes down and Kyrie comes back, God bless the rest of the league.

This probably isn't sustainable, and KD needs to start getting some games off to rest and heal up, but it feels good to see the Nets play with pace and still play excellent defense with multiple bodies off the floor. This team is far deeper than any of us realized. Edwards, Duke, Cam, and Sharpe make up for the lack of picks we won't have control of. That wasn't a pack of scrubs we played against. We handled them the entire game and held firm when they came back to deliver a series of knock out blows.
I hope Harden is watching and noticing that getting the ball up the floor quicker on defensive stops results in easy offense. He's got to pick up the pace when he returns.
I think playing Harden with some of the younger guys who actually run might work wonders, it's pretty easy to see Harden hitting them in stride in transition or picking apart defenses as players cut back door... Here's.to hoping Nash doesn't do something boneheaded and entirely phase out the young guys when everyone returns.
Need to mix them in... (I sound like a broken record don't I?)
Kess needs to play, i would put Duke ahead of Carter on the depth chart. Sharpe should stay in stay ready mode since LMA and Blake should stay at C, Cam will still play as long as Harris is out.
Even if it's just spot minutes Edwards, Duke and Cam all need to play to reduce the wear and tear on Durant and Harden... Bring their minutes to a normal level. Who cares if it costs you a few regular season games...

Honestly I don't really see the need to trade for anything. We have quality guys on the roster.
I would look to possibly add a backup PG off the buyout market to run the offense.
But all we really need right now is Kyrie. Counting the days till he comes bacl.
i dont want to trade him... but the idea is he is one of the few assets we have that teams might seek and we cant afford to extend him after the year
id rather keep him and lose him for nothing then trade him. but its an interesting scenario to ponder

I feel like you're just setting this up so you can blame Nash if we lose.
We're still playing 4 rookies. We have zero bigs that can handle Embiid. We got lucky that 3 of our rookies balled out. If they come down to earth, we're in big trouble. And our guys might have tired legs from the heavy minutes Monday.
We have a chance but Nash deserves coach of the year if we blow Philly out.
We should win this game if KD plays.
Not having someone to guard embiid is irrelevant. his entire career he has gone off and his team isnt success despite that. because its hard to win with an offense having a high volume center. even if they are elite. on top of that, he gets gassed late. if you told me right now he gets 45/15 it would change my view that i think we would win.
We have KD, they dont. We are fresh, they are not. We are home, they just traveled from florida. This should be a win, and a win we have secured on the earlier side. This is not as tough a game as we just had with toronto, who had a cake walk game the night before us and has a bunch of super endurance ironmen and young guys.
We already know nash is going to be awful. he will do minimal coach. roll the ball to durant and hope for the best. not call timeouts when philly goes on a 10-0. misuse his challenge, and not make any obvious adjustments. Blaming Nash is moot. he is a handicap going into every game.
We almost had the game over by the 3rd but outside of that you were spot on![]()
thanks for the props but these kinds of games are free money for gamblers. a team like philly, on the road second of a back to back, in NY after 2 AM flying in from florida, just played a scrappy heat team. thats not a team setup for success
on top of that, our young guys playing is was a blessing in disguise, we play faster with this group and they are scrappier.
it SHOULD have been over in the 3rd too. 18 point halftime lead. should have been 30 before the 4th

What do we get back that helps us more this year than Claxton?
I'm not convinced we can't keep him after this year. Harden/Kyrie situation is TBD.

Holy sh** Kev is a G. That Clax fall had shades of Bogut's fall that left him in a full arm cast. Is it just me or did Embiid flare his leg out to draw a foul on that play? That Blake dagger 3 had me screaming.

Depth here is certainly an issue. I wonder how his wife puts up with the lack of it.

Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.
