Not sure who still plays WZ here, I think Sticky does, but holy crap is the new map (and all guns) just awful. My core group of 4-5 others haven’t played more than an hour or so and we have no desire to go back. I get wanting people to play the new map, but removing the old map, even temporarily, was stupid.

Need help with a gift for my wife. She writes a bunch of handwritten notes in journals for work and would like to start make would like to become more organized. Looking for a good tablet she can write on, and software that will convert her noted to text and allow her to transfer those onto her laptop and sync up with whatever folders she has on there.

Is her laptop PC or Mac?
Does she have an apple/android preference?

I'm probably done with Halo Infinite. Finished the main storyline, killed all the special targets, took down most of the bases. Not a whole lot of reason to go back unless it's just to up the difficulty.

I picked up Unsighted last night. It had been sitting in my library or about a month I think. I'd heard it was great, but the clock aspect of it (almost everyone eventually dies because their in-game clock runs out) made this one a non-starter. I understand it's a gameplay mechanism meant to deepen relationships and make it hurt when they're gone, but nah.

So I was happy to find out that there's an Explore mode where you can play without that mechanism at all. Your NPCs will all live, and you can play at your own pace. An hour or so in and the game is fun.

This is the all-in-one, Rolls Royce of writing tablets. I want one myself, but can't justify the cost with how much I would use it - which is some, but not truly daily or anything like that.

How organized are her notes? I ask because as much as a digital option sounds good, I always end up going back to analog note taking and she may as well (jotting down notes by hand is always faster than getting a tablet out, getting apps started, etc...).

I'd suggest getting her a Bullet Journal. My significant other gave it to me as a gift to help me get my notes organized and I've been using it for a year now. It does exactly what I need it to do as a note taking system.

Apparently D2R devs have been quiet for a reason. They're releasing major balance reworks, new runewords, new cube recipes, and giving non-A2 mercenaries an overhaul. Huge update :o

This game continues to look amazing with each bit that comes out. I've never been a huge fan of roguelike games, but Hades and now this are really interesting to me.

She wants to easily transfer them to PC.

Yeah, we looked at that when some of her co-workers mentioned it to her awhile ago.

So I watched some YT review/Top 5 videos this morning and just ended up ordering her an iPad Pro and Pencil. :dontknow:

Dude I bought a pre built Asus ROG PC that came with a 3070.....the 3070 was DOA when I plugged it in and they told me there is nothing they can do about it since I opened the case and tried to play around to fix it.

I will only now buy PC parts/accessories from Microcenter that I can physically go purchase off a shelf with a physical receipt and warrenty.

Elden Ring was a big head scratcher. Like, the time for cinematic trailers has long since passed. I would have appreciated more gameplay, a different boss, or a different land. Just something that isn't a cinematic trailer.

Just keep playing New World....as buggy as it is.

Saw Target had the new White OLED Nintendo Switches and decided to buy it. Sitting unopened in my office. Thinking I might keep it and sell my old one, didn't realize the v1 Nintendo Switches that can be jailbroken are worth so much. Selling for like $225 online.

I've known about the jailbreaking stuff for awhile but didn't realize how much these puppies are selling for. Maybe I'll have to try to scoop the OLED and sell my original too.

I'm tempted to flip and get an OLED too, but I looked into the jailbreak deal a bit this morning and it looks pretty sweet and not too difficult to accomplish. I won't get into the, uh, extracurriculars about it, but the most appealing thing to me are some of the game ports people have created to run natively on Switch. Some old-school gems - Caesar 3, HOMM 2 (wish it was 3), Morrowind, System Shock. Cool stuff.

I thought about jailbreaking but I think I can just do whatever in that regard on my PC if I need my fix.

But as someone who plays the Switch in handheld mode 100%, I think I have to take the upgrade and sell the old one on FB marketplace or ebay. Off to open the new one I go!

I picked up an OLED Switch tonight for my 12yr old. I was cleaning out my office and realized I had an XboX One X and a 1tb XboX One just hanging around, boxed up and not doing anything with. Traded them in at Gamestop and was able to come away with the Switch, screen protector, case, 2yr warranty and 2 games for nothing out of pocket.

Started up a new Dark Souls save on the Switch just to see if I could do a quick run to the Black Knight's Halberd. Never played with it before. I only had it on the Switch and was very annoyed with the load times I'd gotten accustomed to on the Series X. So I bought it there and holy ****, not really surprisingly it's a very different game. Faster, yea, but they upscaled everything and it looks great.

I've been playing Last Epoch in any and all available free time since the new patch launched. This is, by far, their best patch yet. The new Primalist feels incredible, the new end-game dungeon and itemization is super cool, the new crafting system is SO much improved (on an already good system IMO), the act improvements are good. Just so much good stuff.

I think a couple people picked up the game last time I gushed about it. If anyone needs a build LMK - I think this is the strongest I have built, quite easily. And I've got a ways to go, too.
