Embiids great but there are zero rumors of Philly even interested in moving him. If you get him for Bam, you do that move of course.

Right, no rumors but you can logically understand why it could be an option for Philly. Morey is an issue though, he's a gm who believes stars drive wins which of course he's right about.

1. Simmons not playing is nearly wasting a prime year of Embiid.
2. Embiid is large player with a history of injuries which goes with #1.
3. Moving Embiid could allow a way to bring back Simmons instead of trading him at his lowest value.
4. Philly doesn't look like a contender.
5. Simmons and Bam could be intriguing, a fast-paced team built around Simmons and Bam, just surround them with 3pt shooters.
6. Embiid's return, Miami would have to give up more than Bam, maybe a lot more.

Philly really screwed up trading for Harris and then just allowing Butler to basically walk (force a trade) for nearly nothing. I think Philly and Embiid could have done things to get Butler to resign but they didn't. Had Philly cashed in Simmons 2 years ago and stayed the course with Butler and Embiid, they might have been true contenders each of the last 2 seasons and of course this season too.

It makes zero sense for Philly unless Embiid wants out but stranger things have happened. Embiid seems to have peaked there, maybe they trade high.

I wouldn't say that since Embiid has a history of injury, you might be able to keep Simmons if he's moved. I get Embiid is a more dominate player then Simmons, but I sure wouldn't mind trying to build a team around Simmon's unique ability as a point forward, no more of this PG BS, he's got to be utilized as a big in the half court to make him useful.

I agree he seems more like a point forward. A super Draymond Green. Except he doesnt shoot so he's worse than Green.

Embiid is just on another level compared to Bam. And that's not a knock on Bam, Bam became better then what we could have expected everything considered ( a defensive undersized C pick #13).

Embiid is CONSIDERBLY bigger, longer. He's also a natural scorer with a soft jumper. He's very talented with the ball, good stroke, foot movement. His size helps him be a very good rim protector too. He grew up as a player having the ball in his hands, being the main guy on offense - and it shows.

Bam on the other hand, never was "the guy" on offense. He was always a garbage man big that lives off rebounds and drop offs dunks. He's still trying to get comfterable with the ball, still trying to learn to be aggressive. Still not trusting his jumper. He has an advantage in speed, he can recover and switch better, and he's healthier. But I don't think he'll ever be a true first or second option on a great team.

I'm hoping the jumper becomes automatic enough that he just takes it every time with confidence, and that once he does - he improves his driving game once defenders tighten up on him.

He is injury prone and kinda old now already.

I do think he has another gear come playoffs though but he doesn't have the complete domination in a 7 game series like KD or Giannis anymore. We've seen that in the Suns series.

Yet another game both Strus and Vincent outplay Duncan and show to be better all around players. I love Duncan but you attach picks to him and trade him to go all in and compete for the championship while you have Jimmy and Lowry still as very valuable players. Duncan is literally watching his Miami Heat future flash before his eyes watching Strus from the bench go off for 23 in the 1st half. He did not look happy lol
