Awesome first quarter for Portland! Loving watching Watford contribute, and Dame was torching.

Hopefully the 26-point halftime lead is safe. Crazy to see Portland uncork a game like this after their recent struggles.

Typical Portland look like trash for a few weeks then look like they can't miss after that.

Hark, a win! It was dicey there in the fourth quarter, but I'll happily take it! Ben McLemore of all players saved Portland's bacon with that late 3 to put Portland up 9. It was great seeing Dame go off as well.

Nice to get a W, although when you’re relying on 43 from Lillard and a huge game from Mclemore—eek.

I just realized this is the year Lillard will pass Drexler in Blazer career points, with 600 and some odd points to go. Sure hope he gets the chance to do that. If he’s not already, I think that would put him firmly in “best Blazer all-time” conversation.

Just when i got a little optimistic i realized we’ve played 6 less road games and are 12-18 so basically we are really more like 12-24 or 13-23

A bit more than a third of the way through the regular season, and this cake of Chauncey's still looks only half-baked. I can see what he is trying to instill in this team, and I've seen some real positive changes in the style of play on both ends. Also see Chauncey evaluating the talent he has.

I think we learned alot from this game, mainly two big takeaways for me:

1. How we played in the first half was pretty polished, but I think we were unable to keep that style and pace for 4 quarters with the talent Chauncey has at his disposal. A balancing of the roster is still very much needed. We looked like we were simply running out of gas through the 2nd half. Should be fixable.

2. Dame has bought in to Chauncey's teachings, and has in many ways, completely changed his game. The change occurring has looked ugly for Dame early on, especially in the stats, but he is clearly learning how to be an elite PG/Floor General, vs. being just an unstoppable scoring PG. He's learning how to better manage the flow of a game, while making his teammates better, while also playing equally hard on the other end of the floor.

Big Changes that have looked quite ugly early on, but I think it's expected to take some time. The difference in style of play, to me, is is fairly night and day, and it largely rests Dame's shoulders.

If we’ve changed so much then show me we’ve changed on the road?

It was nice seeing Lillard have his best game offensively of the season by far. I think a part of Dame's struggles have been injury related, since we have rarely seen him have this much trouble putting the ball in the basket.

Aside from the injury, My main point is that I think Dame IS learning from Chauncey, how to become more of a Nash/CP3 type of PG vs. the Monte/BROY type. It hasn't looked pretty recently, with possibly some pushback from Dame earlier on, but Dame's definitely seems to be trying to buy in. It's also the only way the rest of the team buys in as well. Still only half-baked though, and missing at least one ingredient.
