Tobias seems off maybe post covid syndrome.

Count me i in on the Ben,Tobias,Shake for Fox,Hield,Barnes train. Good change of scenery trade for both teams.

Maxey/Seth coming off the bench makes me happy.

$70M worth of mediocrity and utter playoff failures…I’m sure some other team would be real interested in our trash

To the point that I’m down to add to Tobias to get Buddy and Barnes or swap for KP

I mean, what was Morey supposed to do with this mess?

Try to trade Tobias last season when he was putting up good numbers in the regular season (the 50-40-90 club) instead of tweeting about it. Now he can only wait and pray Tobias will play good in the regular season again, otherwise the remaining years on the contract won't matter much.

No one was taking that contract with three years left on it. It's going to be hard enough to trade it with two years left.

I think the league is aware of what Tobias is, and has been for a while now. Tobi found the one sucker in Brand who was green and fell for the phony numbers.

Exactly. He was dealt an impossible hand, and did a great job of eliminating some bad fits and contracts, and bringing in some good role players. It's easy to criticize not dumping Simmons and Harris as soon as he walked in the door, but he tried to make it work with better fitting pieces around the "Big 3". We've found out, of course, that Harris is an overpaid role player, and that Simmons has some major issues.

I say let's wait and see what Morey does with Simmons and Harris between now and the start of next season before drawing any final conclusions. I'm 100% behind the idea of waiting for the right deal, however long it takes.

As bad as Harris is, he is at least playing with us, not giving up unlike some other Bum.

I wish Tobias would give up as well. Sixers are so much better with him out of the lineup.

Hang the sign on the door: willing to take garbage in return if it gets Tobias out of here.

I think what Morey decides to do with Tobias will ultimately depend on whether or not this season is deemed a lost cause for the Sixers. If it is indeed determined to be a lost cause, there is little point to trading him during the season since he would serve as the tank commander assuming Embiid is shut down. It's not like teams would be giving up high level picks or prospects for him.

His value will likely increase somewhat in the offseason with only two years left on his deal to teams who are looking to rid themselves of players with more years left on their contract than Harris.

If Morey and company decide to attempt to salvage this season, I can see Harris being moved to a rebuilding team at or near the deadline for a similarly overpaid player(s) who's a better fit but has more years left on his deal.

Excellent thoughts, but I'm still waiting for the slightest indication that he's even on the market. If he is, they're doing a damn good job keeping it under wraps. We need for him to have a run of big empty stat games to pump him up.

I’d prefer him not playing yesterday

Dallas seems a good landing place for Tobias. And Boban is there.

Of course he's on the market. The problem is we can't get off him without hurting the team due to how atrocious his contract is.

I don't expect us to be able to get rid of him until trade deadline 2023 at the earliest. In the meantime this albatross has killed our ability to build a championship roster.

Might even be realistic, too.

Luka himself is a handful and they've struck out on other bad character attempts at building blocks (Dennis Smith, Kristaps Porzingis).

During coaching changes in other sports, front offices usually like to hire a player's coach if they're coming off a hardass coach that lost the lockerroom.

Harris could be their pivot from the bad character guys they have.

They want to win now, Tobias looks good on paper and is a high character guy.

Kevin Love and 2 pick swaps. Love has a better deal and can shoot better than Tobi

I actually think CLE says no. Love cones off the bench for them now. Could Harris do that? And do they want to pay Harris an obscene amount of money to do so?

https://basketballforever.com/2021/12/10/the-nbas-worst-contracts-in-2021-22-2

According to this guy, we currently have 2 out of 5 worst contracts in the entire NBA (Simmons + Harris). And this guy thinks Harris is "a very good player" lol. I know that we are kinda aware of this, but it is crazy when you put things into context. Morey really has a difficult job.
