At 9-12 where do you stand?

Tank World Order: Hope the team continues its downward trajectory so that they can add another top lottery pick talent to the core of Barnes and OG?

Saying people here didn't want as teardown is a complete lie. There is more than a few.

No Cade level prospects (Cade was such a sure thing imo. Anyone that's watched his full games knew he had it). This year there are a few guys that could potentially become stars (Banchero, Ivey, Jabari, Hardy, potentially Chet). But they all have work to do to get there. Imo It's def worth going for if you're a middling mediocre team.

The disrespect for Chet is palatable. And Will by proxy! Scottie and Chet, baby!

What a shock that a team of NBA executives with decades of combined experience with access to private workouts, interviews and a network of people in basketball circles can make a better pick than a random person on a message board.

The key difference is that some people don't assume every decision someone makes is the right one. Being in the best position is key which Masai showed with "Play in for what."

That burner accounts have to be utilized to further this agenda is too funny.

Raptors get their best player from tanking in Scottie but keep telling me it doesn't work lol. Kids a beast, if they went for the playoffs last year they dont get Scottie.

Most people criticizing people who liked suggs over barnes also thought barnes was a "developmental" guy who wouldn't really contribute to an nba lineup. So they were very incorrect as well. But they were right that Masai made the right pick! Always trust Masai. He will build a contender, at long last.

TwO told me that injuries/covid is just an excuse and that when great players miss games it doesn't impact a team's performance. Good teams always find a way to win so what a great job tonight in securing a victory over the three time champions Golden State Warriors. Tied with Atlanta now (Atlanta has been healthy all year), Sixers, Celtics and Wizards are just half a game ahead of us and the Hornets only 1 game ahead of us. Had we been a bit healthier we'd be 5th or 6th in the East this year. Unbelievable stuff given how young our team is.

You are overrating (underrating the skill of) Barnes in tanking us for the top 5 pick.
I think we are best to look between 10 - 20 spots for now. The draft thread has a few decent players (I think there are a few better than the last draft at that range).

I think we'll still be ok if AJ Griffin drops as currently expected...

When he hasn't gotten the minutes, he hasn't had the actual time to show what he has. The 2x he did, he showed out. This is also tough for a kid coming back from serious injury which has to be factored but he's showing flashes of what he can do with his strength and lateral footspeed on stepbacks. If he stays healthy in the NBA, I'm willing to bet he's going to be a steal for whoever takes him but there's a reason he was at one time projected in the top 5, just hoping in some ways that he doesn't play himself back into that conversation so he can be somewhat like Scottie (who was out of the lineup during the season then forced to the bench) & OG (who did come off the bench and also suffered from his injury concerns).

An infusion of youth and skill is sorely needed with the Raptors.

Boys, the amount of fake wins we've won lately. It's tough, but I still believe.
