A spreadsheet would make it easier to track the picks. If you make it open to all of us you wouldn't have to update all the picks yourself.[/quote]

And I'll note that the project I linked to has a link to a spreadsheet in the 1st post that can be used as a template.

Doc is (correctly) pointing out that the 1st post currently has it set up as ABBB for the first 4 rounds.
ok, let me check as I come home on the PC and I will update.
I will also manage to make a sharable document.

Cool, and to be clear: I appreciate your efforts. I know it's time-consuming to run these projects.

Silly me was hoping that iffy start would see him tumble down the draft... :noway:

Joel Embiid

arguably the best player last season on a per-minute basis.

Sorry for the delay. I have been busy with shopping and a covid test without a phone. I'm home, healthy and happy Embiid fell to me.

I had a top 6 that was comfortable for me [Giannis, Curry, Jokic, Durant, Embiid And James--probably in that order]. I probably could have included Luka but I felt after those 6 [or 7] there is a drop--not major--but a drop nonetheless.

I'm surprised by this. I thought Curry was a shoe-in for you.

Funny I missed this. Maybe next time. I really thought Giannis was #1 on this side of the forums, though.

It was between the two of them - though I think there are several good candidates for the top pick objectively speaking. Part of me just felt like trying to give Jokic a better team.

But if it seems like a compliment to Jokic, that's accurate. I think he's like nothing I've ever seen.

I think Giannis is the "easiest" to build around as he had the least weaknesses and the most recency bias. I do understand why you went Jokic--the script to follow for building around him is less proven [Its completely blank] and it allows for more freedom compared to Curry or Giannis [Giannis more so because of skill-set when compared to Jokic].

You don't need to compliment Jokic here--Ill wait for you to do that in the POY voting in June

Two thoughts/questions:

Is it just injured guys out - are Kyrie/Simmons still available to draft? My first thought was yes, but we should be clear.

I think we should probably cut rounds 11/12. Don't add much to the teambuilding exercise and takes an extra day or two to draft.

I think both Kyrie and Simmons should be included.

1) When they come back we all expect them to be relatively close to their level last season.

2) They are both likely to return this season where everyone else is coming off an injury and may not return.

I think we can cut rounds 11 and 12 as well. A 10-man roster is enough for a solid playoff rotation with flexibility against matchups.

Dammit so close

Mid 1st round is just the worst position to pick from.

Just so I understand the rule about injured players, what happens if you pick a guy who is healthy and gets injured by the tournament. Does he just not take part?

We froze today's situation, of course.

this is interesting, curious to see how you will build around them.
