Kuminga is like Wiseman.
Offense is easy for them.... rebounding on the other hand considering how big they both are has been unimpressive.

Re: Game 30 GSW @ TOR
Moody’s stuck in a bad cycle
He’s not aggressive off ball, so he basically waits for a play to come to him. When you do that, harder to get rhythm going. And he was the premier rhythm shooting wing in the draft
Biggest difference between GL Moody and NBA Moody. He has to demand his shots with off ball movement and getting in driving player’s line of sight

Disagree, Kuminga is a much better on ball defender than Wiseman and he never turns into a black hole offensively. Is it out of position at times? Yes but I don't think he has stone hands or is completely lost like Wiseman was.

Why do people keep saying he has a roster spot? He's a two-way contract--the roster is 15 players, he's not one of them.

Yea, I'm guessing Chiozza gets iced when Klay comes back.

He’s the new Oubre, but a likable version who isn’t convinced he’s a starter

This game did give me a ton of hope on Kuminga's long term outlook. If he can hit 3's like that he is going to be an absolute monster with his physical profile.

Rather use the two way to explore diamonds in the rough than known quantity.
And even in a position that isn’t needed. Not that Chioza brings anything other than being a practice player.

Fair enough. He doesn't take up a roster spot then... but the whole point is he is playing. Playing at the expense of others with more potential, playing at the expense of anything resembling defense, playing at the expense of my (and probably many others) sanity.
He is tiny and he sucks.

Re: Game 30 GSW @ TOR
I was thinking we could play Kuminga as a Rodman style center. Like when Rodman guarded Shaq.
Rodman did not try to get inside postion on people that were much to big and strong for him to win a war of weight and muscles with. Instead Rodman just kept moving arround the guys trying to box him out. Rodman read the how the shots were going tobounce out before the ball hit the rim and Rodman got a quick step towards where the ball was really going to fall while the big strong slow footed lumber jacks were still trying to hold the position just in front of the rim. When the ball was going to drop just in front of the rim where the giant lumberjack was camped out Rodman would time his leap to get off the ground at the right time to get a finger on the ball and deflect it before the lumberjack could get his big strong 2 paws on the ball. Rodman would know where he was deflecting the ball to and his quick second jump would get him to where the deflection was comming down. Rodman did go over the back of the lumberjacks that had inside position but Rodman had the agiltity to avoid contctact and avoid the over the back foul.
I was thinking that Kuminga had the kind of athleticism to play Rodman style. Kuminga may have the athleticism to play Rodman style but I guess Kuminga does not at this time have the mind needed to play Rodman style.
Kuminga got 1 rebound in 36 minutes tonight. I guess we can't play Kuminga as a small ball center this year.

Kuminga, Toscanao, Looney, Lee and Chiozza were all about equall Worst in plus minus tonight.
Chiozza had the best plus minus of all Warriors vs the Celtics.
Dowtin plus 7 and Moody and Payton both -4 were the best plus minus Warriors tonight.
Can we cut Chiozza and get a two way player that can rebound? Or are we stuck with the 2 way players we chose at the beginning of the season?

Kuminga will be a starter next year.
He is a very special talent and he can become the best player of his draft class. His athleticism is elite.
He is a pf right now but if he works his game he can become a sf.
He is definitely not a center

Re: Game 30 GSW @ TOR
People posting here were happy with Lee early in the season but now he is garbage.
People were trashing Chiozza the whole season but he has had some good plus minus games recently. ; not tonight.
There is a reason most rookies don't get to play. I don't think the last 50 years of NBA coaches have been stupid.
Posters on our board have been falling in love with rookies for the 16 years I have been here.
I will never forget Anthony baby Jesus Magic Randolph. The dude honestly had upside, even more than Kuminga but he had flaws and never had a good NBA career.
I think the people dreaming about what Kuminga and Moody might be are getting ahead of themselves. Then there was Poole who put up horrendus shooting stats his first half season.
Rookies are fools gold and fools garbage.

Will be a starter?
Are we bringing Draymond off the bench? Will Kuminga shoot well enough to kick Wiggins to the bench?
I think Kuminga will be the 6th man.

And that's why plus minus doesn't always tell the story. Chiozza only shoots when there isn't a defender within five feet. When he drives t the basket he doesn't shoot, and he gets abused on defense. There has to be better two way players with actual size out there.SinceGatlingWasARookie wrote:People posting here were happy with Lee early in the season but now he is garbage.

Everyone knows neither of those dudes are in our future. Might just be making a point to Moody. No idea. I'm kinda assuming Moody is stinking it up in practice TBH.

Kuminga cannot stay to the bench for a long time.
He is not another player of the draft. He has star potential.
I don't know the way they will find to do it, but probably he will deserve to start next year.
Return to Golden State Warriors
