Ahh I can't hate on the team for this loss. It was your basic Knicks starting lineup but with Kemba suddenly thrust back in, and a bench consisting of two centers and Wayne "What am I doing here?" Selden.
Was pleasantly surprised they made a game outta that sht

Did anyone think, while watching the game, "If only RJ were here, he'd have made a big difference"
I didn't think so.

Knicks tried hard not to entirely f*ck up the Kemba situation, wind up entirely f*cking up the Kemba situation.
It's actually quite amusing.
Also, it's this kind of thing that gets Dolan up and out of his lair.
The publicly embarrassing stuff. The obvious whiffs of incompetence, instead of the quiet, festering incompetence that doesn't make the headline and which Dolan is quite comfortable with and is in fact his natural environment.

Nope, not because I think he's a bust, but because I think he'd be relegated to 4th option in this iso heavy offense.
I actually came away thinking how trash the Celtics really are ...as they had their 2 main cogs and still struggled mightily to beat our gutted squad.

You know what's great about this loss?
Knicks rolled out what is arguably the best starting lineup they can put on the floor. At least among vets of two years or more.
And it was pretty bad.

really? thibs made the good decision ONCE to bench a vet and play young players more.
now kemba and fourniers performance might push the rookies out of the rotation again.
every single bad thing that could happen to this franchise happens. like this mofo hitting contested fadeaway shots over 2 people while playing good defense the entire last season, only because its a contract year.

RJ would help by default. We are 1-5 in games he missed or left early in

From what I remember In an article a while back . Thins was calling Aller, Hinkie.
There is reason Thibs warms out his welcome everywhere he goes .

Knicks are like 0-10 in games Kemba didn't play.
Knicks are losing lots of games for lots of reasons.

Guys are going to disagree and bust balls. We don't know the whole story here. It just may be that Thibs is all in on vets and winning now and is a moron and that Aller might want to be more cautious. He may have even wanted to tank for one year, save money etc - hence the "Hinkie" comment.
Maybe one day we'll find out.
I'm pretty sold on the idea that Leon doesn't know what he's doing and is using everyone as a committee and that Thibs has his ear as much as any GM/Asst GM.
I think this structure is a recipe for disaster, which we are now seeing.
Sometimes Perry wins, sometimes Thibs, sometimes Aller, sometimes Zanin. Or Perrin. With Rose having final says so, but again, I think it's a bad approach, not having a true leader of a GM.
Instead, we have a fat amateur and a committee.
Good times.

i don't think there's anyone who you can point to and say he'd make a big difference right now. people will point to bench players but they only played well when on the bench so far. there's really no proof that they would play well as starters. we have seen a number of guys switched to starters and none of them have made a difference. including rose who is clearly the biggest difference make among the vets. the knicks are just deeper than other teams because they spread their money among 7-8 guys instead of 3 or 4 like most teams do. and this gives them a bench advantage on most nights. but their starting unit in any configuration is still one of the worst.

Agree we are losing games for a lot of reasons.
We also just played a game with Randle at SF in lineups next to Taj and Noel. But maybe I am alone in not wanting to watch Noel/Taj/Randle and preferring RJ

i think this has been confirmed in various articles. thibs has a say in personnel. not the final say but he has a voice.

I'd prefer RJ the most out of the players listed but honestly not interested in seeing any of them.
Maybe Mitch is interesting in that maybe he'll play well as he sheds weight and gets in shape. At least it's a plot line!

I always say he does. I don't think he would have taken the job without some assurance that he does, or some knowledge that he can influence Rose.
Leon is crafty. He's assembled a large cabinet of flunkies to take the fall for him before he's eventually ousted.

Not much to take away from the game, half the team was out- the most exciting half.
At least Kemba raised that trade value some, a team could use him as a scorer off the bench. The Suns of all places signed Elfrid, and we got one of our best players for DSJ. Work those phones Leon.

Yea, there is no big difference makers and the team is going nowhere. Just a weird time to take shots at RJ is all I am saying now. I would focus on Randle and the bums who played
