At 9-12 where do you stand?

Tank World Order: Hope the team continues its downward trajectory so that they can add another top lottery pick talent to the core of Barnes and OG?

Team Mediocre: Try and win at all costs this season. Playoff experience is valuable for the young players on our team. Making the playoffs, even if the play-in helps preserve our winning culture.

Team Neutral: Have not decided what direction I want the team to head. Waiting until later in the season to decide.

Might as well trade Scottie since teams that tanked never win championships with players drafted. Oh well its was a good run!

Tbh it's not even that...

It's that they want to be able to claim "tanking doesn't work" but then bask in the RESULTS (ie/ drafting Scottie) OF tanking.

They blab moronically ad naseum page after page like they're convincing anyone of how "tanking doesn't work" meanwhile thrilled by Scottie who is the very result of it. Rave how we got a future (super)star in the making but live in the most ridiculous state of cognitive dissonance of HOW we got him. If only this team would take as many Ls as Team Mediocre

Tanking didn't work. It basicly forced us into a Sengun for Barnes trade which is neutral value at best.

I really hope this is a joke because this is the dumbest thing I’ve read.

You've got to read GWS pro-compete posts as satire. The real team compete are too slow to realize it

Multi-year tanking as a strategy generally doesn't work because it's so hard to develop talent properly when you suck. Selective tanking like we did last year where we keep our guys and take turns resting players to improve our lotto odds in a lost season is smart, and the vast majority of fans got behind that once it became clear we couldn't recover our record after everyone went down with covid.

I have complete faith in Masai to draft the best available player in his given draft slot. He's also a fan of "advanced nba statistics" that propelled him to draft Pascal Siakam (and Malachi and Yak) and others. If you don't think Sengun is a great player in the making with incredible Turkish League advanced stats, I don't know what to tell you. Doug Smith has a similar level of faith in Masai and I can think of no greater authority.

Most people seem to be level one thinkers. Oh sure we got barnes and he seems to be great. But who did you give up? What's the opportunity cost?

Imagine actively rooting for your team to lose games and being miserable if they win. That would be a pretty **** sad existence.

This is the truth. We had a chance for once in a life time talent in Victor Wembanyama in 2023 draft but we just had to draft Barnes and become too good to tank for 2023. That is as they say, an opportunity cost.

Been rooting for losses since Tampa. Two seasons now. Sometimes I wonder if my orientation can change back....

Oh god no. No more tanking. "You never want to go full tank" -Adam Silver to HInkie.

That scoot henderson though. Allegedly, Canadian Shaedon Sharpe is projected to go after those two.

I watched this game yesterday and he made some nice plays, especially the dunks.

He's a nice transition player and he'll have NBA size and defensive potential from day one. When he attacks the basket he elevates quickly, his head is at the rim in the blink of an eye. The thing that really stands out to me though, is that he moves well without the ball. He makes good cuts, and when he gets the ball he attacks the rim.

In the half court, he has work to do still.

Side note - Hate that court.
