I’d take Curry too (though i can’t agree on the KD second banana take).
There are really three components to Steph’s magic that most other mini-Stephs haven’t mastered. The first is the ungodly shooting ability that creates gravity. The second is the really intelligent off-ball movement that utilizes that gravity for the whole team benefit, not just Steph’s. The third is leadership in developing confidence in his teammates to just fire away (you can argue this third component is more Kerr, but I think Steph has a lot to do with it)
KD is missing a lot of the latter two.

Steph got 3 championship compared to just 2 for KD. I also think Steph was the better player and has way far influence in the game than KD or even LeBron did.
No argument, but I just think that comparing completely different players is impossible. I mean, who was better, Jordan or Shaq? Magic or Wilt? Other than reciting stats, impact on the sport when they played, or championships, they can't be compared as players.
My opinion is that Curry is the most influential player of my lifetime (I go back to the early '70's as a real fan), who changed the game more dramatically in the way it's played and teams are constructed than anyone I've ever seen.
Me too. Personally I think Curry has changed the game more than anyone in league history.
When I was a kid, I used to wonder what happens when there’s a guy who can just casually shoot anywhere on the court. Never thought I’d live to see that day when watching Steph.
For me, MJ put basketball at the map. But Curry has changed how the game is played more than anyone.

How about between Curry and LeBron?
Championship Lebron has 4, Curry has 3.
For me, I’d give LeBron the edge here. A very tiny edge and I’d give Curry a big edge if he ever wins 4 championship.

1998-1999 season vs 2019-2020 season.
Which one is more legit?
Personally, I’d take 98-99 season
Riley played 200IQ by ruining the finals and sitting almost all his guys and not bowing to LeBron.

No we’re not. We’ve had the same issues last year with team missing several players. Then, it was back to normal and playoffs were full strength (considering COVID).

Actually, Magic and Bird put the game on the map, and Jordan made it explode internationally. Before 1980, the sport was still very regional in many ways like baseball, but it grew exponentially during the course of the '80's. By the time of the Jordan Bulls teams, the NBA was challenging the NFL for supremacy, and had taken off worldwide.
But stylisitically, even though players like Julius, Magic, and Bird revolutionized those positions, the game as a whole still worked through the center position and the low post. Rick Pitino was the first that I remember really emphasizing the 3-point shot when he was the Knicks coach in the late '80's, and was seen as nutty by a lot of people. But Curry, and specifically that Warriors group, changed the entire strategy of the game and the way teams are constructed with the advent of analytics.

I'm taking KD. Can play with anyone, score on anyone. Has an underrated all around game is no slouch defensively.

The early dirk nowitzki/McGrady comparisons were on point for KD

How do you guys see this season unfolding?
I think we’re just going to have a stretch of postpones and unentertaining games with GLeague guys playing major minutes then everything will get back to normal again.
I wish.
That said, i wish we could just take a breather this season.
Trade Drummond, sit Embiid
Play more maxey, Joe, Springer and Reed
Inflate Tobias’ numbers
If we dont, we’re just slowly fading into oblivion

It’s been obvious for months
We have 2 players
One has bailed
What did you think would happen?
I have been telling you guys for months where this is heading
We need someone to talk to Ben
If he’s totally screwed in the head then Morey needs to hold out
If not, listen to his demands

To me it's not just about the regular season. This team is going to struggle, they may not even make the playoffs. But with Ben we definitely make the playoffs and win the first round. Then that's where the problems start and end. If his head is screwed on correctly he is a liability in close games, if his head is not screwed on correctly he is a liability in close games. You can only go so far with Ben Simmons on the court in crunch time. Hack_A_Simmons is a real thing and he has not shown the ability to rise to the occasion when he is needed most.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I remember during our hot start, everybody was saying this was the most entertaining Sixers team in years. That wasn’t real, this isn’t real: the truth is somewhere in between.
We’re a level of talent below the top teams, if they are fully healthy, but who knows who is going to be fully healthy this year? I think the field of possible contenders this year is as broad as it ever will be, and we should buy a lottery ticket and see what happens.
We still have the ability to get better. The ball is just sticking a half second longer in everyone’s hands, compared to early in the season, and that’s the difference between an open shot and a closeout. That’s on Doc to try to fix. I think the jumbling of rotations is probably not helping.

Another team snatched up Charlie Brown from our G-League team . We're the sixers unable to do so?

Once you had Covid. You are usually good for 3-4 months. So the sixers as a team are in good shape Covid wise. They have been through the worst.
Sucks so many postponement. Sixers really got screwed with 4 guys out with Covid plus curry and green injured at the same time.
The bulls record would not be where it is now had the league forced them to play like the sixers were forced to play.

Already better than Ben Simmons on offense
He doesnt even have a decent handle with his left yet

Yeah but has he been an all star, ROY or defensive player of the year runner up? I think not ! So there is that.

And before you say he is a rookie I will tell you that is no excuse. By the way do you see how he backed down Trae and was not afraid to finish at the rim.....wow
