That's what they have been saying...minus the booster shots. Originally...the boosters were after 8 months. Now...has that changed? I just got vaccinated 3 months ago? I'm supposed to get another one now? Great job these vaccines are doing. Mandating people to get them and they don't even work? Great plan! We can only deal with what's in front of us now and, for now, this is the best course of action. This is a novel virus so, yeah, we don't know how this is going to play out but - one thing is for sure - the more people refuse to get vaccinated and boosted, the longer this is going to last.

You really think getting booster after booster is the right thing to do? The shots are not eradicating the disease so what good will that do? All the shots ALLEGEDLY do is prevent severe symptoms. They do nothing else. Seeing how many people are asymptomatic...how do you even know the shot is helping with the severity of the symptoms? They don't stop the spread. They don't prevent catching the disease. So getting numerous boosters seems like a waste of time.

Ending your social life will help YOU from getting or spreading the virus. If the rest of the world doesn't lock down at the same time ..guess what...it won't help at all to end the disease.

Common sense would suggest that this virus is going to run its course without a worldwide simultaneous lock down for two weeks. That won't happen either.

Mask up and social distancing while washing your hands and getting a vaccine is only proving to help protect the individual who does these things. That's all.

You're talking out of your ass for one. I AM fully vaccinated and I do EVERYTHING that has been recommended to date. I haven't been sick in TWO YEARS! The issue is...the vaccines WERE NOT preventing the spread and the that also causes the variants because...the virus keeps mutating. If you knew ANYTHING about how a virus works...this always happens. They usually... but not always.. mutate until they can survive by keeping their hosts alive in order for the virus to survive. IOW...they weaken. That is a very possible result of this novel virus...that has been around far longer than two years. It is a coronavirus. It isn't brand new. This is just a new version of a very old song. Get a clue before you start throwing out insults. I have done more than believe what the media tells me. Perhaps you should learn about how a virus works before you get on your high horse and act like you know all the answers that you learned watching TV. Where do you get that I don't believe in 21st century science? Never said anything of the sort. Don't be a child. The virus is mutating and spreading regardless of the vaccines. People who are vaccinated can still spread the virus and catch it. The virus...as any virus...will almost always mutate and many cases that means nothing and many cases they weaken.

Get a vaccine. Wash your hands. Mask up. Try to socially distance yourself. All any of that will do...is protect the person who does those things. As I myself have done. The vaccines may actually help slow the spread to a point. That is definitely a good thing. Sometimes though...the virus can adapt and the vaccines become useless. Time will tell.

Continuing to get boosters and locking yourself in a house will not end the problem though ...unless everyone on the planet does so at the same time.

Not sure what all the whinging is about. If the end result of being vaccinated is less dead people, seems a pretty easy choice to get the shots.

Yes, the new variant particularly is breaking through, but I like to play the odds. The odds of me getting it, spreading it and being dead or getting someone else dead are less if I have a vaccine. Foolish to conclude otherwise when presented with the figures.
