Re: Official NBA COVID Protocol thread (please read the OP)
Since half of the votes on this poll favor the NFL way I'm wondering
are there any players who are known to want to go that way?
Or are there any players who wouldn't play if asymptomatic player don't get tested?

I strongly encourage you guys to contemplate if you really think narcissistic Hollywood wanna-bees like LeBron took this experimental injection for whats basically a common cold.
Most of these players (current and former) are masonic state actors who do what they are told by very powerful people. I mean Shaq has more or less admitted this indirectly a few times.
You really think LeBron or Shaq cares about the common people? What about Gobert? Maybe Steph after he did an interview with bill gates himself? (Talk about a big red flag) Lol nah
All these players go along without saying a peep with every ol' narrative the government pushes (weed, woke culture, gambling, big pharma injections, dudes wearing dresses and the list goes on). They give 2 rips about me or you. The NBA is a massively influential political organization.
They cant even be half-assed to make league pass free for a season with everyone struggling right now in some way... but here, lets talk about kyle kuzmas pink dress he wore on IG for 5 days in a row.
I encourage you to step outside, take a step back from the YouTube videos and perhaps speak to a professional.

They have a union to vote. The NBA wanted to force all the players to get vaccinated but the player's union said no.CM17 wrote:Since half of the votes on this poll favor the NFL way I'm wondering

Vaxxed players should not be tested... this is bs.... the clown running the NBA is making a mockery of this season... the raps have all their starters out against Chicago.. why is this game proceeding?????
Yet last week Orlando was cancelled against raps, and week before Chicago... bs....
The NBA Continues to favor its playoff teams while screwing the rest....
What a clown this commissioner is...

I'm confused about the idea of letting asymptomatic covid positive players play.
Weren't there a million statements that asymptomatic still spread the virus, is that disproven now?

Also what about this:
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/32886476/memo-nba-nbpa-agree-new-covid-19-protocols-increased-testing
So now, its being acknowledges that if you "recently" had Covid....at least in this case you don't need daily testing? So it's the equivalent of having a booster in context of this specific rule? Why can't Kyrie play home games again?
The NBA and National Basketball Players Association agreed to elevate testing for two weeks starting on December 26. Players and staff will be tested on game days except for those who received their booster shot 14-plus days earlier or recently recovered from the virus, the memo said.

They won’t publicly acknowledge it as a possibility until it must be done.
That’s just how it is.

All the players?
When did Kyrie get vaccinated?
I'm aware a lot of people are treating this like a huge joke but Kyrie is vegan and did say he'd consider taking a plant-based vaccine once we have one.

SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!
Theres people here that literally go "Here daddy silver, take my money, I'm okay watching a G-league product on the court."
Silver sucks, though i do agree with him that pausing does absolutely nothing in terms of eradicating the virus. Well then, get rid of your garbage protocols as well or stop charging the public premium for a garbage product.

Yep. Even if it's being contemplated there is no way Silver will admit it and send a message to fans not to bother buying tickets for January/February because it's uncertain the games will be played. A lot of tickets sold for January/February games are given as Christmas presents or people spending their cash they received over the holidays, the league surely wants that in-hand before they do anything.
Personally I expect them to ride it out as long as humanly possible to bank as many gate receipts as they can, and possibly even get above the 70 game threshold for broadcast contracts to pay out 100%. Might see a playoff bubble for the spring/summer, but they won't be announcing that a moment earlier than necessary.
If the league has a pause it will be announced effective the next day, possibly even as games are being played like back in March 2020.

Yes asymptomatic players can still spread covid. That’s why it’s insane to just let asymptomatic players play. What the NBA could do is shorten the time in covid protocols for players that are fully vaccinated and boosted and also test for viral loads and clear players once the viral load that they’re shedding is low. They need to go back to daily testing if they’re not going to pause the season.

Anyone know whether there is one league wide standard for type of tests, frequency of tests and test results that are necessary to get a player out of covid protocols? I've haven't read about there being one, but I haven't been following NBA covid policies closely. I am not suggesting that the Lakers did anything wrong, but my wild guess is that The King demanded, and the Lakers complied, to do everything humanly possible to get Lebron back in to action as quickly as possible, which might entail using the least sensitive tests they can find and repeatedly testing until they got some results they could plausibly hang their hats on.
