Sorry but YOU'VE got it wrong. I'm not poking fun at anyone nor have I ever said no one should be disappointed; I myself have expressed disappointment in how things are going MANY times, and continue to do so. I'm addressing posters who suggest that players and the coach need to be changed immediately otherwise the future for the team is in dire straits. And yes, development WAS expected and clearly it's not coming at the pace we had expected. That's not a reason to abandon either players or the coach. That's just how it goes sometimes.

I don't do knee jerk reactions. And not you nor anyone else on this forum will convince me that the way to build a championship team is to trade away Hayes, Bey, Grant and whomever else--basically change over the roster other than Cade--AGAIN while also getting a new coach because you don't like what you see on a TV screen right now. I have no problem calling that out as an overreaction to frustration rooted in "I want to see better basketball RIGHT NOW" rather than being able to make a logical and well-thought argument as to how a #1 pick, a couple of other 1st and 2nd round rookies and second year guys along with a 20 PPG scorer are a sinking ship 30 FRIGGIN' GAMES INTO THEIR FIRST SEASON TOGETHER. Don't like it? Tough s**t. It's a forum; not a circle jerk. You want someone to always wag their tail at you and make you feel good? Get a dog.

I never suggested that they should trade everybody, that would be foolish obviously, but I think it's fair game to want a change at coach. Yes the team is very young and yes, they're lacking significantly at several positions but I think it's fair to watch these games and come away thinking that it's a poorly coached team. The rotations, the system (the lack of ball movement and constant switching leaves small guys on bigs too often etc.), the in game management etc. It's all lacking and now there's a bunch of players who are regressing. Part of that is due to roster construction but when your young players are regressing, or just not developing, a lot of that falls on the coach.

Secondly, you do mock posters on this board. You do it a lot just like that ridiculous last sentence in your latest post. I'm not saying that you have to agree with everybody but you put forth your disagreements in a very confrontational manner.
Actually, I tend to agree with some of your takes about the vast overreactions on this forum and the select group of posters that are constant doomsdayers but there's also several good posters who put forth solid reasoning as to why this season is being wasted away so not everybody is overreacting to every little thing and there is some common sense being displayed by some.

Yes, it's only 30 games in (sample size is getting bigger though) but I think it's fair to have some serious concerns about where this season is heading.
As I said before, this season was expected to be another tough one but this is next level bad that we're witnessing and it was the case before Grant got injured as well. Plenty of time for improvements this season and for things to head in the right direction but we're approaching the midway point of the season and the team is sinking with their top pick starting to look despondent as of late. It's a concerning trend and is something that deserved to be noted IMO. They HAVE TO show signs of improvement in the second half or else this season will be a complete waste outside of tanking for a high pick.

Nope, I don't mock people. I mock ideas or reactions. And considering that under the definition of confrontational you'll find argumentative, yeah...it's forum where we debate, i.e. argue, ideas. That's the point. If you don't like me arguing that it's ridiculous to immediately fire a coach 30 games into a season because you don't like the results thus far, quite frankly I don't care. I give reasoning why; it's not like I post "That's stupid" or "You're stupid." We're not all always going to agree on everything. For all intents and purposes this forum exists for the sake of entertainment; not for achievement, personal growth or spiritual healing. I suggest you consider it that way.

I think a lot of the disappointment is based on the youngsters looking better than expected last year, combined with stability at center. The Pistons have never been as entertaining while losing as they were last season, and we miss that.

The loss of Olynyk early on has made it much harder to have stable rotations up front and let opposing bigs camp out in the paint. Hopefully losing will become more entertaining in the new year.

If I were you guys I wouldn’t really watch anymore games until Cade comes back or a trade happens. This is just a G league team now. It’s frustrating but just remember okc drafted Durant at 2 harden at 4 and Westbrook at 3. So these guys are coming do you think it’s worth it? Of course it is. But as far as entertainment and enjoying the art of NBA basketball pistons are not worth watching now. So if you’re a basketball fan I urge you to take a break and watch better talent in the league for the holidays at least. Merry Christmas!

Just remember…what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

So I’d be approaching Hercules status by that rationale.
