Wiz sign Jordan Schakel

Coming up from the Go-gos. Does he have any skills other than 3 point shooting? Does he work on defense? Any likelihood of him sticking?

Schakel is actually a pretty good player from what I’ve seen. Really good shooter. Plays a smart game. Plays with effort and is an unselfish team guy. Also pretty decent shot faking and getting to the basket. He will remind people of Garrison Mathews I think.

Of guys who have played Atleast 300 minutes for the go-go, Schakel ranks 2nd in on/off differential.

About 16 points 3 rebounds 2 assists and a steal per36 and barely ever turns it over. 60.6% TS. Posted similar numbers in college. Just a solid defender and a really efficient scorer. Smart player

A plus 40% 3pt shooter in college and in the G League with 4 yrs of college exp. Probably not a bad short-term choice as a call up.

I recall a few posters talking about Schakel as a possible second round pick for the Zards.

After doing all the mathematical calculations on his chances, I think this sums it up:

Well, for sure there's no one else on the Go Go I'd call up before Schakel.

Good question about his defense. I hope he gets some minutes, b/c it'd be fun to see him. That said, there's absolutely nothing good in his numbers except for his .396 3-pt %.

This kid can shoot. He's what 23? I'm cool with this. Especially if we feel at some point that it's time to cut Winston or gill. If this kid comes in and lights it up I would not mind signing him to a 2 way and bringing up ayayi if needed and getting rid of either Gill or Winston.
