Well it does seem like they need to bring in a big now that Freedom is out. I'm kinda excited to see who it is haha.

Re: Injuries: Several Players (H&S Protocol)
Covid might slow down trade season more than usual this year. With several players in and out of lineups, teams are unable to properly evaluate what they have and what they need since main rotation is never complete. I doubt covid situation improves in January.
OTOH, fortune might favor the bold. Some of the teams might think this is the year to take risks since there's so much uncertainty with regards to seeding and even health come playoff time.

If this gets approved, we could see both Horford and Grant in the Christmas game vs. Milwaukee. Possibly Richardson too.

What's Garnett up to these days?
Good assessment:

Brad missed the undo Danny bad juju train. Could've brought back IT & Perk and washed the slate clean.
Maybe he thought Danny traded Joe.

I bet it will be Eric Montross or Brett Szabo.

I was all for it before we signed Schroeder. If Schroeder is here, along with Payton and Smart, bringing in IT makes no sense whatsoever.

Teams with well-established systems on both ends (UTA, PHX, MIL, GSW, MIA) and/or teams whose superstar hasn't been sidelined are the ones soldiering on and still racking up wins. Though in Utah and Phoenix's case, I think they haven't been affected by covid that much (sans Booker), if at all, so far. Nets got their games postponed for some reason (instead of forcing them to sign replacement players) so their standing is intact.
Teams with new coaches (DAL, BOS, WAS) are maybe finding it harder to navigate the exodus of players to protocols.

Re: Injuries: Multiple Players (H&S Protocols); Smart (L.Hip); Langford (L.Achilles)
There's no consistent policy on when to postpone games. Why did they postpone the Sixers' game the night before ours, and now we have 14 on the injury report and need to sign several replacement players instead of having our game vs. the Bucks postponed? It's ridiculous

The six not-on-report guys are actually a pretty decent starting lineup, plus Joe Johnson.
That said:
-- Timelord is always getting dinged up.
-- Tatum is said to be playing hurt (ankle).
-- Brown/Schroeder/Pritchard have all recently been limited by injury. (Counting Pritchard's mask.)
And how can Ime seriously motivate such a limited roster to play the right way for 48 minutes rather than look for shortcuts??

Wut. Aren’t they canceling other games with fewer players out? Does Silver just decide which games to postpone at random?

This probably gets canceled if it wasn't a Christmas Day game. Five all-stars in their prime available to play will still draw substantial audience.
