I was certainly in the "Wiggins isn't good" camp for a long time. My main takeaway when I watch the warriors tho is that he just looks comfortable in his role. Amazing what a change of scenery can do for a player.

How would you divvy up credit between Mobley, Allen, and Garland this season?

We'll have to see on Mobley, but certainly Rubio.

Watching this Cavs-Boston game for some good entertainment. Cavs looking good so far.

On-off

Allen + 5.9
Love + 5.3
Rubio +11.5
Mobley +5.1
Garland +14.3
Markannen +0.3

Garland-Rubio-Markannen-Mobley-Allen. Best +/- lineup.

Wade's pretty much the only rotation guy with negative +/-. It looks like a strong well rounded team with veteran depth. Hopefully Mobley doesn't hit a wall and the Cavs had a great year ahead. If Mobley pans out this team is back in the playoff picture. Pretty good work from Cavs FO.

Chicago, Cleveland and Wiz. are new teams in East playoff picture. Chicago's play has been talked about a ton. I wonder if the Wizards last, though.

My sketchy power rankings estimates:

1 - Jazz 9 SRS
2 - GSW 7 SRS
3 - Heat 7 SRS
4 - Bucks 6 SRS
5 - Suns 6 SRS
6 - Nets 4 SRS
7 - Cavs 4 SRS
8 - Bulls 4 SRS
9 - Hawks/Celts/Grizzs 2 SRS

. Nets, Clips and Lakers could improve, but it's like this now.

Kevin Love having a better BPM (7.0) than LeBron (6.0) is certainly not something I expected to see this year.

Nope!

But if you told me Love would be healthy, happy and playing 20 MPG and LeBron would be hampered with injuries I could buy it.

I’m really not sure I could’ve bought the first part before seeing it myself tbh.

Yeah I understand. I'm obviously one of his biggest supporters here and I am happy for him.

He has a chance to carve out a nice, longish post-prime career.

Cavs are very exciting. To me they are probably the team who has changed my future expectation more than any other this year. From "Cavs always suck if LeBron's not there" to "Holy crap, that core could end up winning a title in the years to come!".

Surprised by how well Mobley has paired with Allen. Would not have predicted that.

Disclaimer: I dont do enough scouting to have a strong grasp on prospects

Mobley was an intriguing prospect and I ended up being higher on him than anyone else after listening to a podcast [NBA Draft, can't remember name] and one of the guests described Mobley as someone who could play 3-5 and should be viewed as the defensive version of Kevin Durant. It struck me as an interesting bit and has been holding true thus far.

This ties into his fit with Allen which has working better than you [and many] expected.

How about Sengun? I had him in my top 5 and couldn't understand why he fell so far. He dominanted a professional men's league in Europe. He averaged 19/9/2.5 on something like 70 TS% with
1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks at the age of 18. Think about that.

I know a lot of people complained that the Turkish leagues were "way down" in terms of usual competitiveness due to money shortages from being hit by COVID.

Ja making the Grizzlies a worse team and them being noticeably better without him has to be one of the most insane developments the Nba has seen in years

I think it’s interesting, and we need more sample to know how true it ends up being, but while I wouldn’t say I was betting against Ja, it doesn’t surprise me when stuff like this happens with young stars.

We’re seeing it with Luka too, and I think that’s more shocking because he’s seen as a savant-level BBIQ guy. We know that there’s a class of players that just know how to add impact in any situation (Jokic springs to mind), so what exactly does it say about Luka that he doesn’t seem to have this as an everyday instinct?

It may be that he just turns on what he needs to in the playoffs, but he plays high primacy always so it’s hard to say he’s actually focusing on conserving energy.
