Too bad for Derrick. that will set him and the Knicks back. Looks like they had their brief moment of competence last season, and now are back to being the same old dreadful Knicks. Let's hope people aren't saying that about the Bulls next year!

Knicks signing Daniel House to a 10 day contract. That’s who I wanted, he lit us up that one game

That actually might work out OK for the Knicks. Kemba gets a chance to pump is raw numbers up off the bench for the next 7 weeks...right before the trade deadline. All Star game is February 20th, so Rose should be back after the break.

I don't think the same will happen with Chicago. Knicks had the defense last year but a bad offense. They tried solving the lack of shooting by adding one way shooters in Kemba and Fournier, and of course the defense tanked. Thibs is trying to juggle who plays, but it's still a zero sum game.

The Bulls as constructed are top 10 in both offense & defense already, we don't need to replace Lonzo or Caruso to shoot well.

Bulls are also very young as a team. Bulls are tied for the 7th youngest team in the league, with Orlando and the Rockets. Bulls should improve next year just with all the youngsters getting more experience and the team gelling.

What about Evans?
https://sports.yahoo.com/tyreke-evans-not-cleared-yet-213907629.html

Haven't heard bad things about him as a player or locker room guy. Seems like a decent deep bench scorer to provide some Coby (trade or bad play) insurance.

He has a bit of a drug problem and that may be in his past but that was the issue with him. I mean he was pretty good he beat out some no name guy in STEPH Curry for ROY (technically also harden Derozan and Blake too).

Cam Reddish having a second really good game…(consecutive)

should have swung for the fences with him at 7, the skillset has always been there

Remember when Coby was above 30ppg for 3 games in a row as a rook?

Was he the best player on a team beating the Sixers with Harris and Embiid?

Anyway, Coby scoring on tons of shots was never super impressive to me. And Reddish was always higher upside, a boom/bust pick. 6’8, good length, near elite handle, near elite athleticism, but struggled with contact and finishing, including from being weak core-strength wise, and despite good shot mechanics super streaky and just not good enough overall. As compared to also poor finishing and streaky (though a touch less) Coby, who is smaller, less athletic, worse handle, worse length.

Not saying that Reddish is out of the woods, either, but he had as much upside as anyone in that draft. GarPax went for the safer pick…. Probably another draft mistake.

reddish was awful/injured his first 2 seasons and is suddenly shooting the ball well for the first time in his life (46 for 119 from distance) while doing little else. he finally looks like he belongs in the league, but let's not get carried away. he's not starter caliber at this point...even with the unusual spike in shooting

and by the way, he was so-so against the .500 sixers. two mediocre teams playing mediocre basketball. reddish was maybe the 5th best player on the hawks that night. solid scoring night but little else. didn't score after the middle of the 3rd quarter. was terrible at the end of the quarter and ghosted the 4th. (mediocre) team effort for the win

There's no "boom" scenario with Reddish.

But he seemed like a decent bet to become a solid 3/D piece if his shot came around. Seems like he's doing that this year.

He is plainly better and more valuable than Coby though.

Yeah 33-18 4th quarter. Spurs are the 3rd best 4th quarter team in the league, only behind GS & Utah. They have fresh young legs and the Lakers have too many old legs. And yet the Lakers are push the pace faster than any team in the league by a huge margin even though they're the oldest team.

Nothing makes much sense in LA right now, team construction or the coaching.
