The amazing thing about Barnes is he never looks rushed out there and is always playing at his pace. Usually takes rookies time to adjust but Barnes looks like he's been playing for years with how under control he is. This kid is going to be fun to watch for the next 8 years. If he makes a huge leap forward next year we might have a near superstar

Sadly, he's not the only one . I know it's stupid to even think about at this point, but when you have a player this good, it's kind of hard (for me at least) not to think about it. Obviously I'm hoping he's the first ever Raptors lifer but that kind of loyalty, from both franchise and player, is so rare these days.

I don't want to even think about it. Here's hoping Masai stays forever so we never lose Barnes during his career with us. Starting this off-season we have to build our team around Scottie. He's the future of the franchise for the next decade and beyond.

Or just enjoy the moment, like we did with Kawhi. I mean, this situation is infinitely better because we have so much control over the next few years and can offer the most money.

Look at how long Bradley Beal - a Florida Gator guy, has stuck it out with Washington. Toronto is a better franchise and Scottie has talked about the family atmosphere here. He is a smart kid and values being part of a good team.

One thing we can consider is bringing Caleb Houstan. He is the former Monteverde teammate, and Canadian, and a great fit here. He might need another college year, but getting Monteverde guys is a smart play. I was hoping for Moses Moody and Scottie, but Caleb is possibly better.

So I been digging into some stats and Scottie Barnes is 13th overall in the league in offensive rebounds and he’s the only guy in the top 20 who doesn’t play PF/C.

I'm optimistic with where we are at roster wise in year 1 post Lowry. Masai will add another star soon via draft or trade and we will be ready to roll.
