Man oh man…. What to do about Duncan…..
Dude is a hero one week and unplayable the next.
Meanwhile Strus can’t figure out if he wants to replace Ducan or Tyler Herro…. Dude has been on fire.

Simple let him figure it out. Duncan has two years of history of being an elite shooter for the Heat.dshearn wrote:Man oh man…. What to do about Duncan…..

And man you guys thinking Spo is going to play 2 bigs after all these years. I thought I was the only one late on understanding that 10 years ago. Spo want a physical small forward to play the 4. I think we all just need to accept it. He is not gonna trade Duncan who fits his system for a guy who doesn't.

Strus was brought here to be a stretch 3 to backup Duncan. He developing to do just that. And it gives Heat options if Duncan is struggling or in foul trouble. Strus development is a plus for depth purposes.

It's quite odd he's been looking "fine" for a while. It's really odd this "extended" time out happened with Bradley last year too. I think Miami utilizes rehabbing as a way to look at different players and different combinations without just cutting player's minutes.
Here Morris is 2 1/2 weeks ago.

I think that was true in the past but not this year. They are solely focused on this team being ready for the playoffsAirP. wrote:MettaWorldPanda wrote:

I didn't think Morris got hit all that hard and him out shooting and not taking extra precautions seemed odd. Personally I think there's more to it, I don't think Miami overall liked that foul before the cheap shot. Miami fans would have been pissed with that foul Morris did to one of Miami's top players and to top it off, the game was out of reach.

It was a dumb move and probably Spo talk to Morris about it. But I don't think its anything more past it. We've had players with issues with the FO before and ramblings have always come out. Winslow, Dion, Hassan, Tyler were the most recent examples. So if there was something more to this than injury, we would have heard something. And Keef himself was quick to squash the 5reasons post insinuating there was more to it. If there was more to it, he wouldn't have tweeted.

Serious question for the Spo haters.
I will preface it by saying that the most frustrating thing about Spoelstra is his rigidity in rotation and the unwillingness to bypass a break to ride the hot hand. Having said that, I don't think there is any other coach in the league that can do more with less.
Does he deserve credit?
Only reason I ask is because he is quick to be blamed, but never given props.

I don't think there is anything more to it either. If you look at the hit, it was essentially like a violent car wreck. His neck went back and then forward rapidly. That is concussion and neck problem territory.

The reason I wonder about it is because he looks fine shooting where he is having some movement with his neck and in those videos he's not indicated any discomfort. It'll be even more odd to me if he comes back right when Miami desperately needs a big because if Dedmon didn't get hurt, I'm not sure we'd see Morris for even longer. He's missed 23 games because of it yet has been fine(not showing any discomfort) in shoot arounds for nearly 3 weeks now. I'm not saying he wasn't injured but I think he's been kept out longer than he's needed to be. Not sure why the team would allow him in shoot arounds if he had a real issue with his neck.
