We lost our entire team to COVID. Still don't have half it back.
And we withstood LeBron going for 40 and won. One of the better wins of the season.
The lakers are an average team. The lakers without Anthony Davis are a flat out BAD team. Lebron is great. he is still a top 10 all-nba player. he is not the GOAT/GOD mode lebron of even 2 years ago. he slowed a bit. similar to the drop off from last years harden to this years harden and the new rules have effected him too. He cant carry a team by himself anymore to being good.
Westbrook drags lebron down, drastically. if westbrook has the ball, the lakers offense is awful. if lebron has the ball, the lakers offense is limited by russ being a non threat off ball and a non shooter. on top of that, they have little shooting around lebron. To get shootung, they need to put carmello on the floor making their slow defense even slower. to get athletic, they need to add more non shooters like dwight and horton tucker.
AD helps alleviate shooting and defensive issues. without him they are basically a wizards/pacers/knicks level team
I get KD/Kyrie/Harris are out but Harden is still playing all-star level and was all-nba level on christmas day. Mills is better then any non-lebron member of the lakers. Claxton/Blake/Bembry/Johnson/Brown are better then the role guys LA throws out there.
We had the more talented team, and unlike LA we have pieces that fit.
its really lebron, a bunch of guys who dont shoot, an old carmello, and the leagues biggest liability in westbrick
